Portable Primo Build

Here begins my MPCNC build journey. I am building a new Primo MPCNC that is feasible to put in and out of my car boot and take to makerspaces. So weight and size are key constraints. I already have a Handibot, which is a portable CNC with excellent rigidity, but with a 150x200mm work area. I am keen on cutting larger projects like signs. Electrics for the Portable Primo

I have finished (most of) the wiring for my Portable Primo build, and tested it out. Most of it is housed in a toolbox that is easy to tote to and from the car, though it is not light. Carving bamboo at 100mm/sec! Another dinner plate on the portable MPCNC

I have finished the upgrades and calibration of my Portable Primo MPCNC, and let it fly through a very dense bamboo cutting board I had in my scraps pile, to make an elliptical dinner plate. My machine can now move much faster, over 200mm/sec in X and Y and over 40mm/sec in Z, thanks to being controlled by a Teensy 4.1 on the grblHAL breakout board by Phil Barrett.
