WebUI-3 release 3.0.0-4b1-FluidNC

I was able to unzip it and upload it on my Macbook. I ran 2 laser jobs with no issues.
@vicious1 do you have v3 on the Jackpot or v2? Maybe v2 doesn’t recognize the .gz?

Took another look and figured it out. After it extracted it had it’s original date of Jun 2nd - I just wasn’t looking far enough down the list to see it :man_facepalming: It’s always the simplest things!

Got it uploaded - difference is subtle but I noticed some fonts changed and my macro button is bigger. Nothing has gone wrong yet though :+1:

Ah, that makes sense.

I actually never use the Upload button, I just drag and drop:

I didn’t change any fonts, but I did change the formatting of the macro buttons so they have some sense of alignment and are bigger so they’re easier to tap on a touchscreen.

And I almost never drag and drop because I’ve been burned too many times thinking I could somewhere only to have the window reload what I was dropping instead and losing what I had been working on

But to each his own…my boss LOVES drag and drop - I’ve just never been a huge fan.

I wasn’t sure if I saw a font change or not…just looked like somethings got a little bolder…but it could have been my imagination as I was looking for something that was different. The macro button definitely did change - in a good way :+1:

The only time this got me is when I was trying to drag and drop from the file list in Visual Studio Code. It looks like you can, but it doesn’t work.

Just a follow up. I’ve been running you’re modified version for the last few days on my ZenXY here at the office with fluidnc 3.9.7. It runs basically all day from 7:30am to 5:15pm and I haven’t had any real issues.

It’s been happily drawing away the whole time. No noticeably slowdowns and no crashes aside from me doing something stupid (like forgetting to home the machine after turning it on in the morning.)

So at least on Bart’s 2 channel board it seems rock solid to me so far.

Getting closer.

I did some more testing and did find a minor bug that I fixed. When I added the configuration option to set the default jog distance, I forgot 50.

I created the PR. It can wait until the consensus is it’s good to go.

@Michael_Melancon I didn’t include the index.html.gz file and I’m not sure what the version number will be updated to. If you want me to do something with that, just let me know.

That’s fine. I’ll update the number.

The PR should have generated a build artifact as the release would be.

So that should be able to be used for further testing and it would be exactly as I would publish it

where is the latest version?

Here’s the latest version with my last minor tweak. You’d need to unzip it and use the index.html.gz file.

index.html.gz.zip (87.8 KB)

I ran this file yesterday, no issues that I can tell.

I’m generally open to testing. I don’t know what version mine is on, and I’m away out of town right now. Could try to look into it after I get back home.

I cut out my strut plates using MillMage and webuiv3 and didn’t have any issues.

This is running well for me. I had some low memory errors on AP mode, but no issues in STA mode.

@jeyeager @vicious1

PR has been merged and the release generated

If you want to give it a run through and make sure it’s all good as built, just let me know once it’s confirmed and I’ll PR it into the FluidNC installer

Looks good. All the formatting stuff is as expected and I see the updated version number.
