WebUI-3 release 3.0.0-4b1-FluidNC

What browser software and version?

On what device/OS version?

Could be a setting thing, too. Like poll intervals .

Maybe we need the ending commands now? Supported Gcodes | Wiki.js?

All in all I like this webui V3, my biggest gripe is solved with the clickable web address to get out of the captive portal. We just need some more testers.

Didn’t I fix that? Or no?

I was using an M30 which is defined for the ending gcode on the milling basics page.

That is a great thought. And oof, I was apparently messing with this and had it set at very non-normal settings. I had an auto-report interval set to 100ms plus a 3 second polling interval. That’s a bit aggressive. I typically have a 300ms auto-report interval and a 30 second polling interval. Plus I also have my WLED controller going over telnet with auto-reporting set at 200ms so yea, I can see where that could have been a factor. I did notice one time that my LED lights weren’t working which is also odd.

I tried various browsers. Safari on iOS and chrome and Edge on windows. All the latest versions.

I did recently add a fan to my Jackpot enclosure. I’m beginning to suspect that this may be the culprit and not the firmware upgrade. I’ll do more testing in the coming days. Sorry for the false alarm.

BTW $Heap returns nothing on the various firmware versions I tested.

Yeah, a while back. (thank you thank you thank you) I am ready for V3, going mainstream.

Update:

After removing the fan and upgrading to 3.9.7 everything has been solid for at least 36 Hours.

Regarding the $Heap issue I found that I had to have terminal in verbose mode to see output from that command. The only down side is that the output gets buried in the verbosity of the output.

Sweet any other Testers out there? Can we get confirmations of no issues as well as any issues you might have?

Need a sense of how many people are trying this out.

I am using 3.9.7 and WebUI-3 with no issues also.

Nice! You have run a handful of jobs, are you using Jason’s new UI edits?

No I haven’t. I have been using Michael’s. I’ll try it on the next project. I’ve been doing a lot of laser work lately. My son in law is starting his new practice. I’m working on a sign for him.

That is great, laser pushes things even harder. Thanks for the updates!

I’ve been using 3.9.7 with WebUI 3 on my zenxy with no issues…and sometimes leave it on for a day or two at a time.

But…I’m just using the default WebUI 3 from the fluidnc installer…not entirely clear if that’s the same version that’s being discussed or if this is specific to modifications in the v1 repo. I could try switching to another version of WebUI 3 if it would help.

If you could try my modified version, that would help. Just trying to get some others to test it out before I submit a PR.

Will do so once this pattern finishes. Just have to swap out the index.html.gz file on the flash right? No other support files need changing?

Correct.

Hmm…when I try to upload it through the current webui the file selector isn’t including index.html.gz as an option even though I extracted it from your zip and it’s there in the folder I’m looking at.

I’m on mac here at the office and don’t see a way to change what files the picker is displaying for me…it’s showing me the .zip file but not the extracted .gz file :frowning: on windows I’d know how to override this but finder and I don’t get along very well. (I love the MacOS command line since it’s just a modified unix system…but their GUI has always driven me crazy.)

Heck just extracting the .zip was a bigger pain than it should have been since macos wanted to unzip the .gz as well by default. I had to switch to command line and unzip it manually to just get the .gz

I may have to wait until tonight when I can hookup over USB and use the web installer to transfer the file :frowning:

Is there a way to rename files through the UI? I could upload it under a different name and then rename it but I can’t find a way to do that either.

You can use $Localfs/Rename=oldname>newname

That all sounds a bit convoluted but I’m not a mac guy.

I had the same issue on a PC, actually. Unzipped, it would not show in my file browser at all. I can’t remember how I fixed it. I just figured I did something odd.

I can easily upload other UI files just fine so maybe, Jason, you did a weird file permission on it?

Hmm, I just put it in a zip file so I could attach here. I can check it out later.

My LR3 is temporarily on a shelf until I get the table moved to my workshop but I can check on my pen plotter. I forgot how easy it is to take off.
