I can’t remember a case when there was no firmware info.
When in the lcd12864 simulator/marlin mode, is anything showing on the screen? If you then reset the skr pro, does it show a V1 splash screen? That should show the version at the bottom too.
When in the touch screen mode, does it say “No printer attached” at the top?
But, you used repetier host to move it… This is very confusing.
I’m sure it’s something simple, but I can’t figure it out. We should probably flash the firmware again to be sure. So:
Grab the firmware.bin from MarlinBuilder releases (V1CNC_SkrPro or V1CNC_SkrProDual, depending on how you wired your steppers). Put it on the sd card in the skr pro (not the screen one) and boot it up. Wait a minute and turn it off, take the sd card and check that it was renamed to firmware.cur. Then try M115 again.
Have no fear, im certain i’m making a mistake somewhere.
It definitely moves with host, well passed the 200x200 limit the screen puts on it
Im back at work so i cant play with it til later, but i’ll see what the screen does when i hit reset. When i put it in marlin mode or whatever, the screen just says the lcd simulator.
Update, had the wife send me a video of her hitting reset. The screen blinks and shows lcd12864sim still. No v1 logo or anything appears
yeah, just came to say the file on the sd is firmware.cur… I’ll get the correct firmware, correct the sizing to be sure, if i can, and get that loaded up.
Any input on the fact my steppers are moving at 150%?
Let’s get the right firmware.bin on there (no need to compile it, or even install platformio or arduino, we made firmware.bin files in the MarlinBuilder releases).
After you have that flashed, let’s re-evaluate what issues we have. This should be a painless process.
The baud rate should be set to 250k now, not 115.2k. That should fix that. It may tell us a new error.
The tft needs to be flashed too. There are more files, but it is the same process. Go get the zip, unzip it, put the folder, .ini file, and firmware.bin on the SD card and put it in, turn it on. The firmware for the TFT is linked from here:
I removed the tft35 subfolder to the root and it seems to have cleared it up… Well its still updating but i’ve done it 3 times and havent seen the icons flip thru like they are
