Skr-pro/primo/ fusion 360 issues

Yep, Nothing. The terminal only shows uppers so that isnt an issue
Pulled out my laptop and used host to move it, the same error rate of 1.5

Sent m115 and M115 and no response, put it in marlin mode using the knob, the screen says lcd12864 simulator. Send the commands and nothing.

This seems important in the moment

Huh…

I can’t remember a case when there was no firmware info.

  1. When in the lcd12864 simulator/marlin mode, is anything showing on the screen? If you then reset the skr pro, does it show a V1 splash screen? That should show the version at the bottom too.

  2. When in the touch screen mode, does it say “No printer attached” at the top?

But, you used repetier host to move it… This is very confusing.

I’m sure it’s something simple, but I can’t figure it out. We should probably flash the firmware again to be sure. So:

  1. Grab the firmware.bin from MarlinBuilder releases (V1CNC_SkrPro or V1CNC_SkrProDual, depending on how you wired your steppers). Put it on the sd card in the skr pro (not the screen one) and boot it up. Wait a minute and turn it off, take the sd card and check that it was renamed to firmware.cur. Then try M115 again.

Have no fear, im certain i’m making a mistake somewhere.

It definitely moves with host, well passed the 200x200 limit the screen puts on it

Im back at work so i cant play with it til later, but i’ll see what the screen does when i hit reset. When i put it in marlin mode or whatever, the screen just says the lcd simulator.

Update, had the wife send me a video of her hitting reset. The screen blinks and shows lcd12864sim still. No v1 logo or anything appears

That means it either isn’t the V1 firmware, or the gray wires are not in right.

At this point, I would just flash it and not look back.

It is strange the screen won’t let you move past the bed size. That may be a new issue.

I pulled the card yesterday and there is a file on it. V1 set it up for me so i assumed its correct.
I’ll take a crack at it tonight

The Skrs and BTT TFTs do not come flashed from Ryan.

Sorry. This may be my fault. I thought they were and I have said so in the forums here in the past.

Okay, given the file is there i should just be able to hit reset and it should load the firmware, no?

No. That is probably not the right file. It also has to be named “firmware.bin” not firmware.cur.

yeah, just came to say the file on the sd is firmware.cur… I’ll get the correct firmware, correct the sizing to be sure, if i can, and get that loaded up.

Any input on the fact my steppers are moving at 150%?

Let’s get the right firmware.bin on there (no need to compile it, or even install platformio or arduino, we made firmware.bin files in the MarlinBuilder releases).

After you have that flashed, let’s re-evaluate what issues we have. This should be a painless process.

Put the firmware on… lcd12864 sim now has a bunch of other nonsense with it… v1cncn 509 ready at the bottom

the bigtree screen says no printer attached at the top of the lcd now, it would flash quickly before but go away. now its steady

The baud rate should be set to 250k now, not 115.2k. That should fix that. It may tell us a new error.

The tft needs to be flashed too. There are more files, but it is the same process. Go get the zip, unzip it, put the folder, .ini file, and firmware.bin on the SD card and put it in, turn it on. The firmware for the TFT is linked from here:

https://docs.v1engineering.com/electronics/skrpro/#tft-files

done and done… kinda wish I hadnt though as the little icons for the buttons are so badly formatted that its hard to read the screen now.

I used the v3.0_E3.bin, config.ini and the tft folder. I’ll take it out soon enough to test it. Any thoughts on the poor formatting?

Huh, there’s another topic somewhere around here with that exact same problem. Looks like it was solved by flashing without the gray cables connected.

I removed the tft35 subfolder to the root and it seems to have cleared it up… Well its still updating but i’ve done it 3 times and havent seen the icons flip thru like they are

its done… that is the fix…

maybe in the next patch have it check 2 folders deep for icons? or add a move tft35 subfolder to root in the tutorial
