I didn’t have a paper either.
I like the new connectors. Will get the Airedale connected to it for some testing.
@vicious1 I have to say the more I use the JP3 the more I like it. Having the ESP32 antenna exposed makes for a good strong signal. It comes with 6 drivers. I like the sturdiness of the USB-C connector. And the RJ11 jack is great too!
Hopefully @jeyeager will get one and figure out the memory mapping like he did with the standalone ESP32 4MB to get the extra RAM space. I tried your custom_littlefs.csv, but this ESP32 didn’t like it. It went into a continuous booting loop. I had to use the webinstaller afterword to get it to load fluidnc.
If @MakerJim tests all look good with the Airdale and whatever he throws at it this will be the goto V1 control board, I feel. It has everything we need and has a better price point.
I am using the 4mb version this time, not the 8mb.
I am so glad you like it. I am just about ready to order the first batch. I am heading out to make a few more test cuts right now. After that I will be pretty happy. Airdale is the only unknown but I am pretty confident it will be fine.
I’ll have a report this weekend, provided no more surprises in my week. ![]()
No rush at all. The giant work project is surely pretty exciting. I am doing all sorts of stuff on my end as well.
Hmm, I don’t know any reason why that wouldn’t work.
Adding for reference:
Doing a bit more work this morning testing with Jackpot V3.
The Jackpot V2 case doesn’t have the FluidNC module slot in quite the right spot, and the trim around the RJ12 socket seems to be slightly interfering with the socket when I try to set JP3 in that case.
@vicious1 did the mounting arrangement change slightly between V2 and V3?
Edit- I’ll also go double check that my TAZ is printing correctly.
Yeas, I have a new case already. Let me post the files. Sorry I forgot to upload them.
I made one of these, and have been down a rabbit hole with my printers, but the new case seems to work.
On a different note- I was trying your low profile CYD pendant case but ran into the same issue that a maker on printables asked you about… your link in the description for the low profile case on printables is corrupt and that item isn’t for sale any more.
You used a different breakout board from the FluidNC one. I like the one you picked better probably for the same reason you picked it. I ordered a set and will report on that stuff when it comes in.
Here’s the one I ordered (Long URL incoming)

You can remove everything from the ? (Including it). Everything after is trackers and stuff.
Updated the link, thank you.
I have a couple boxes showing up today!!!
Okay the board is here and looks good. I am going to run one more test of the scope tomorrow before moving forward.
The first ten of you brave souls already have a flashed replacement boxed up and ready to ship. I will not ship them until after I run the scope test. These are orders for the jp2 that shipped before 9/7/25
Everything seems perfect this time around, keep your fingers crossed everyone…but I think we finally have a fitting replacement for the jackpot 1!!!
With everything finally here and all tallied up It looks like these jp3 cost 1.89 more than the jp1, and we get 4 more usable outputs, the rj11 socket, better heat spread, better plugs, usb-c. I still have to order things from 3 places so no help there except the plugs and heatsinks are easier to order than esp32’s and drivers.
Thank you everyone for making this a such a cool board. I hope to take some pretty pictures of it tomorrow and hopefully put them up for sale real soon. If all goes well and all reports are clean I will get a batch rolling from elecrow as well.
I am beyond excited!!!
Heck yeah!
Awesome news!
I have been following the development of the JP3, way above my head but incredibly interesting. I am thinking of building a second LR4 therefor the timing is exceptional!
This forum is the best.
