Anyone still testing?

I’m sure most have already seen this, but just incase… MillMage has their own YouTube channel!

Millmage reminds me so much to ArtCam

I set up my lowrider with the standard profile, but I had to delete this line from the gcode file

I gave me an error when running it, stopping the cnc, with no way of continuing the cut

Does Millmage support Rapidchange?

Im sure i have watched a video from someone who uses the rapidchange atc. So yes

rapidchange atc with millmage

Are you uploading the GCode file from MillMage to the controller and using the WebUI to run it?, or using a different GCode sender?

The ‘@P’ line is a special MillMage-only command for a pause dialog box, and will only work fine if MillMage is streaming the job directly to the machine (‘Start’ or ‘Run GCode). If the file is sent from somewhere else and that ‘@’ character at the start of the line makes it through to the g-code parser at the controller, it will not be recognised and throw that GRBL Error 1.

Yeah that is how I was working. Thanks for confirming. Perhaps it is possible to create 2 standard profiles, as I think a lot of us work this way, and don’t have de computer next to the cnc. But then again I guess this is the same for the other brand machines. Probably you can also upload gcode to them like with the LR.

So to solve this for myself, I purchased a refurbished windows surface pro from amazon that was wifi capable (not sure if they come any other way) …. and it seems to work fine, I like that it is mobile.

the more I use Millmage, the more I am liking it. was able to put all working files on the cloud as well as the libraries for tools, machine, etc. so when I work at the desk workstation, and I am ready to run a job, I need only go turn on machine, and the surface pro, fire up Millmage on that device and load the working file. the rest is there. I am still muddling my way through, but I like the challenge

Are you actually controlling your machine from MM as well? Or just transferring the file to the SD card on the LR4?

Actually, I am learning how to control the LR4 jackpot with MM. Setting up macros (which also are stored in cloud) and customizing the operation. Still real wobbly with my cnc-sea legs with Millmage, but I am liking what I am seeing so far. looking forward to the day when v-carve is in place (not ever gonna spend the money on vetric for that when it doesn’t control our machines - but that is just me).

If you haven’t yet try the “frame” feature. I use it constantly in Lightburn, and now its real nice in MM if you’re not 100% sure you can fit where you want to on a scrap piece or something.

Awesome! I intend to do that as well!

I will cross post in the MillMage Forum but I have not been able to connect via wifi to my LR4 Jackpot via FluidNC on either my Windows 11 laptop or I even tried my MacBook Air. I keep getting a no connection and and it trips an alarm fault when I drop out and go back into normal WebUI interface. It shows an Alarm set that even reseting won’t clear.

What’s interesting I CAN connect across the basement with my desktop and actually control but I can not see the LR4 but can hear and see all the commands. on the console in MM.

I exported the bundle from my desktop Windows 11 that works and imported it into my Win11 laptop and still no luck.

Frustrating as I really want to control the machine. I love the rest of the MM program.

Yeah, i had some issues and went back inmediatly to vectric.

Want to give MM a go sooner o later but cant stop working

Lot harder to test new things in your situation. Its crazy the amount of stuff you pump out of that shop!

anyone have any ideal when Millmage Pro will be released? Looking forward to v-carving. Need to knock out a few custom backgammon boards and I could do it with Estlcam as in the past but really looking forward to using new control software.

They said they were working on it, but that it may take a while.

Phillipp im answering to you, vut not directed to you.

It would be awesome to get an video guide into the basic operation of MM with our equipment, a basics for the LR4 using the jackpot control. On video so it can serve as a guide for others

You want a MM to Jackpot over USB guide?

That is definitely not going to be the recommended way for people to get going with it. SD card is still the least troublesome way. The other side of that is how many people complain about not having a computer of any kind near their machines and they want to use wired pendants instead.

I am sure at some point I will put up a little getting started guide but I am not currently going to split my focus away from estlcam until probably the pro version gets released and is tested by some of us.

With all that said, I would have no issues with anyone else making a video about all the cool features.

I would say using the wifi capabilities of the jackpot :hugs:

Not really for me, for at least several months im kinda slow implementing changes and maybe MM will have many more changes by then
