What would you want to see in a new lowrider build?

That would just be awesome!

No time pressure - might happen as the LR4 is being developed!

Just a thought based on the early pic posted… if you are going to need to cnc a 4 foot gantry panel you might want to add some registration holes to the piece so the folks with smaller mpcncs can more easily bootstrap the build.

Register off the screw holes. They’ll be a regular distance between each set.

Or…is there another way to handle that…

Sure. Just make sure the two sides are parallel and I’ll rip it on my tablesaw and ignore all the frufru webbing in the middle.

I’ve got a LR2 but haven’t cut anything full sheet in a very long time. I thought about doing an MPCNC, but I want 24-inch by 48-inch (which fits the largest part for my robot project) and I think that might be a bit too long for it, so I was thinking about trimming the LR2 down… then I see this. Will the LR3 be accommodating of such a reduced size?

Yes it will

Ah, I’ve been catching up on posts and saw that but wasn’t sure to what it was in reference. Sounds perfect then.

Your robot project is so neat. It needs other robots for maintenance. We live in the future.

I just have 1 question… Is it still going to hang off the side of the table and down below the table top?
I have a BIG table that hangs from the ceiling that i lower down, and am toying with flipping the LR2 so i stop banging my head on the Z tubes that hang below the table and limit my ability to build cabinets below the table as i need clearance for the Z tubes…
curious if this actually helps me, or if i should go lock myself into my office for the next way too long and design something

I think you might want to wait a little while and see if this solves your problem.

If you need more beta testers, i have 3 dialed in printers (and 4 that needs a quick tune up)
truthfully, i dont have infinite spare time with a 15 month old at home, but i sure can find some

I appreciate that. We are pretty close to some of the fellas running them. From there we should progress fast.

Hey Ryan,

I’m Connor I’m new here and I’m not too far from you up here in Chico, CA. I’ve been eyeing a low rider for some time and I finally decided to pull the trigger and they’re Out of Stock :frowning: . I’m stoked to see progress on the new build and I can’t wait to buy one!

So that logo on instagram was with the lr3 right? Was it tough on it doing that cicular motion?
