Grmpf… I put it in there months ago…

Maybe it needs to be bold. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I actually remember reading that now :see_no_evil_monkey::rofl: sorry!

Jackpot 3 has left customs! Hopefully not long now…. Tho I need to acquire a bench as apparently the dining table is not acceptable.

Hmm… You could also consider cutting a hole in it for a ZenXY as long as it‘s on there. :stuck_out_tongue:

Jackpot 3 here!

No belt as yet tho so still on downtime. I also need to find a 40mm fan. Assuming it’s an exhaust rather than intake.

This is the fan that Ryan suggest. Also what I put on all of my builds.

A bit of progress today! Yes yes, 1 hole is like 0.01mm out, be fine with 3 screws I’m sure :see_no_evil_monkey::rofl:

I’ve ordered some wire sheath stuff to keep it a bit tidier as I can foresee issues without.

Found out my stepper extenders were wrong… but I ordered a kit to make ones for the jackpot anyhow so need to wait.

She’s taking shape tho, not long now!

You should really fix that. .01mm wouldn’t be an issue, enough that it won’t go in is sufficient to cause issues later and forever. Fix it now so you’ll avoid issues later.

Edit- also, your Zstub looks crooked, and you don’t want to tighten down the cross-screw in the Zstub.

1 screw out of 13? cant see it tbh, the 3 others align perfectly so its secure. It is enough to allow the screw to try to crossthread, but on tightening if all are loose puts strain.

EDIT - it looks crooked only as the plate was cut with a hacksaw by hand using a stencil 3d printed.

The plates are kind of impressive, ngl!

Aha! Well spotted re the extra 2 I stuck in! Removed now. What purpose do they serve?

They rarely have one. I’d go so far as to say they never do, but then someone would be mad.

Well, picked up a sheet of 18mm MDF today ( price of woods insane! ) Meant to be £35 but the manager knows me so £20…. and he gave me 2 ratchet straps for the trailer to tie it down

Currently the highest bidder on a makeshift table ( ex dining room one ) at £2 local, so hopefully things can progress soon….

Currently loosing the will to live feeding cables through that springy stuff that holds all together… fml….

Got my table tho! Pickup Friday, bit gutted as it cost £20 for final bid but I guess woods probably worth more.

Edit… given up after spilling Guinness over the damn cable tidy and ordered a larger one :man_shrugging:

You gotta know the trick. You put the cables in for 5 cm or so, then hold the bundle and push the springy thingy against it so it makes a “bubble”, then hold the other side and let the back go. Then you don’t have to push it through. I hope that made sense.

Yeah, ordering 3/8s was the wrong choice. It’s ok just for the stepper ends, but not joins. Likely doesn’t help I used speaker wire for the limit switches which is a tad thick too.

I was just putting wire loom on my new build last night and I too was having a heck of time getting it on until I finally figured out the proper technique - which is exactly what Philipp described above. Once I started doing that it felt like a dream (although still fairly tedious).

I’m right handed - I would hold the bundle of wires in my left hand, push on the loom with my right hand to make the “bubble”, then grip with my right hand, and release my left hand so the bubble relaxes and pushes the loom further on towards my left over the wires. It works out so that you’re never actually “pushing” the wire through the loom, but rather expanding the loom in an alternating sequence so it moves like an inch-worm around/over the wires.

Yeah I sussed the technique, just my joins are too large. What size did you use? Arthritis is a killer doing the technique also :sob: the joys of being old!

It’s a bit like one of those Chinese finger lock toys!

£20 table aquired and pipe cut today, still waiting on deliveries! Tables sturdy tbf but I’ll likely remove the castors. Bet it’s 100 years old.

1000x1775mm not taking into account the edging so I’ll need to cut the mdf slightly larger at 1125x1813 plus 50mm each for a comfortable 834x1500 cut area.
