The 'Black and Blue' LR3 build

I hear that. The Harvey weighs 455lbs all assembled. I almost herniated every disk in my back moving it

Weeeelll… Mine is a metal bandsaw from 1956 or so…

700kg is ~1543lbs… :scream:

That can’t be right, surely!!!?!!?!!?!? Holy cow

It is. We had to get it into the shop with 4 people and I can only slide it over the floor slightly (but it’s a slippery floor at least… :D).

It’s got a gearbox inside as well as several other nice things, it’s too slow for wood though nominally, but it still works well (710m/min or so instead of 1400 you should have). I can regulate it down to 10m/min though and cut stainless steel with it… If I had to make the choice again I would probably buy another machine, but I love that machine so much becauce it’s cool. :stuck_out_tongue:

You can find pics of it here (scroll down).

@Neilp Dude, you are a MACHINE! NICE!

Speaking of you printing with your Flashforge AD5M… Somewhere on here is a thread where I mentioned that I had used Printables.com points to get a $400 discount on buying a Prusa Core One. Well, it arrived, and about a month later I got an invoice from FedEx demanding $143.xx for the shipping of it, presumably passing on a tariff.

And I’ve been so busy I have not even unboxed the thing.

We’ve been missing your various updates. Hope all is well with you, Doug.

When you get around to doing stuff with the Core One, please start a topic here in the forums.

Getting FOMO guys.

Already expanded the foot print to 40x48.

I always do this, lol. I might just go ahead and build the drill press cabinet so it locks me into a limiting dimension.

Found a roll of blue filament, so I’m printing the LR4 core tonight!
