Status on Lowrider 4

Bought the V3 to V4 kit, some endmills and jackpot and left a little tip…

Have had the V2, upgraded to V3, never got it quite right and had been planning a rebuild, and been holding off for V4 release

Have always sourced my own stuff, and been slightly different than everyone else because told myself i knew better, but always had little issues here and there, so keen to just follow the path everyone else takes and get a decent working machine finally!

Thanks Ryan, sorry its taken me 5 years to actually buy something from you (other than a touch probe a couple years ago)

Boy do I have a good first project for you, ponyboy:

Though, granted, that’s a unicorn. :yum:

You can’t, per the license, technically you can’t even send it to a company lasering it for you.

If you want and can distribute them, I bet you can talk to Ryan about it though. :slightly_smiling_face:

I ordered the XZ Plates and Jackpot CNC Controller, and I can’t wait for them and for the files to print them.

Yes, I know, mine was only a thought, but I know that is not doable!

is anyone else just sitting here wondering how Ryan’s life is today… He hasn’t made a post (which I don’t expect a big release or anything). But he’s hammering orders, it says mine has already shipped! I hope he’s got a beer in his hand at least!

I was worrying about that. It was a bit of a weird start to the day and I know Ryan values support of his customers as a major top priority- so, yes I could see him busting butt all day trying to fill what I hope is an avalanche of orders. (But also hope is not overwhelming)

I can imagine that Ryan finds great relief in actually shipping out parts, rather than deal with the intensely active beta testers!!:exploding_head::crazy_face:

I was wondering the same thing. That’s why I said is there a search party on standby? lol.

Mine says shipped to. It’s impressive.

My constant refreshing has finally paid off, congrats on the launch. For those of us that are going to print the parts ourselves when should we generally expect them to be available, any moment, a week or so?

Thanks for everyone that worked on this effort, looks great

Before the end of the week, next day or two perhaps.

It was a killer paying the delivery charge but my lr3 is in bits after moving from my unit so had to pay it

I guess I’ll wait a week or so… Unless it would be better to put order in now?

I built the MPCNC Primo last year and absolutely LOVE IT. Was gonna build the V3, but now… V4 all the way. I purchased the Jackpot from Ryan and had it flashed (assuming it was for the Primo) earlier in the year, will that be able to run the V4 or do I need to have it reflashed?

Can’t wait to get going on this project…

It should not need flashed, but rather swap out which config.yaml file it uses. Or simple changes to the existing one.

WOO HOO!

Received couple of helpful responses from Overture folks, including:

Looks like they’re updating their specs and website soon. Thought I’d share in case others are looking to avail Amazon prime deals.

I bought a LR2 kit many moons ago (including the stainless steel tubing) and never put it together. Is there an “upgrade” kit for that or am I more or less out of luck? Is there any parts that are reused from the LR2 to the LR4?

There will be an upgrade kit released from this post history, just won’t be right away.
