Would this change your mind? These look sweet
I’d love to have a Wazer water jet, but cannot justify the price. They are way pricier now than when they were doing pre-orders for launch.
Just be like me when I need to justify the price of something.
“I’ll make it back selling stuff on Etsy / Facebook”
For me to have it pay for itself, I would also need an advertising budget as well!
This is one of those times a little voice in my head is saying “Its good enough, you should go direct your OCD someplace else…” I built the thing, so clearly it’s going to be limited by my patience. (But, he says 1000 is a perfect score, so I’m only getting a “B+”.)
I applied the corrections and I’ll see what I get. Maybe I should just get a better calipers.
Uhhh… Yeah that’s good! I am curious to see what you get after the corrections though. That was a good enough score that I probably wouldn’t have even bothered LOL
I thought I’d specified DIY, which that is not. Also, it would take me a very long time to cut $18k worth of stuff, particularly since the raw material is far from free, not to mention consumables.
So… No. That does not change my mind.
VIDEO! LowRider v4 DIY CNC - Beta RC - Amazing test cut at 3000mm/min and 12mm depth of cut!!
I hope it’s OK for me to double post this, as in here, plus a thread of its own somewhere.
@vicious1 - Ryan, I am so thrilled for you over this, and literally proud of not only what you have done, but how you have gone about it. Thank you, thank you, for letting me be part of the beta test crew.
I know the LowRider is a Mostly Printed CNC, but it seems maybe slightly confusing to have MPCNC there, when MPCNC is an official name of a different V1 Machine.
Just my first reaction seeing the thumbnail
Have you jumped the gun with this? Not seeing a release anywhere.
I’m very excited that it’s this close though
Ryan told us (beta crew folks) to go ahead and make our videos public, as Tuesday he plans to post the needed things! So, we do have his permission!
It’s a fair point. The LowRider and the MPCNC are both mostly printed CNC’s but the naming here uses that moniker only for the smaller one. About all my thumbnails for LowRider have used that wording. But… I will edit the thumbnail and make it say “DIY CNC” or something.
EDIT: that change has been made. The new thumbnail is this:
I don’t normally pay that much attention to thumbnail words
Not sure why it stood out to me this time…
It’s not really a criticism, or intended to tell you I think you shouldn’t have it there, just was my initial reaction to question whether it might be confusing for people less familiar with the products.
You all do know how to build tension worldwide
More confirmation, for anyone who has not seen it yet, as of Oct 7, at 7:39 pm (presumably that as per my own Eastern timezone) Ryan posted this:

Coming soon to a garage near you #V1LR4
So if we print, and it’s not perfect, should be OK?
I dont think my printer will ever be 100% elegoo neptune 4 Max.
I will do calilantern, but just wanted to check first.
If I need to get perfect, there’s probably no point trying it won’t happen.
It won’t need to be perfect. There is a margin for being off some. But some printers, even nice ones, can be off a bit from the factory, and having it calibrated better is a good thing.
I’m trying to compile and share a list of …
