A 3 to 4 upgrade kit and stl files - but I won’t be getting my new printer for a few weeks and I really don’t want to start the ‘4 with my current slow headache machine, so…. I guess end of the day I can wait ‘til my birthday

I’ve used that surfacing bit religiously with my lr2, thin 1mm depth passes only doing 16-20mm width of cutting. The only time didn’t work is when you took too much off.

Is 4M a medium sized 4X game? :stuck_out_tongue:

Waiting for the files to print. The hardware etc isn’t important to me until the plastic is done.

Waiting for the stls! I plan on ordering filament right when the files drop and can figure out how many spools I will need.

That would include both #1 and #2 plus some M3x10’s.

Oh dang ok. Even better! Then I guess I would be waiting for an upgrade kit! And printing parts while waiting.

For me,

I plan to purchase the longer lead screws and the XZ plates for this as soon as they’re available. I also have the jackpot controller, another collet and some odds and ends in the cart waiting.
I’m also waiting for the printed parts files so I can get that started

I’ll add just for fun. STL’s for prints and DCF for the plates!

Anything beyond PLA?

Nope not yet

I had started printing LR3 parts and had the hardware in the cart just waiting to pull the trigger. I don’t think I’m going to reprint all these parts again. My printer has a tendency to mess up half way through. This time I’m just going to buy all the parts. I really won’t be able to put everything together until spring after I finish with my boat but I can’t wait to pull the trigger on the LR4.

XZ plates and fingers crossed for TR8x4 leadscrews. I quite enjoyed the experience with the 2 start screws not falling on power down. I could even give up the toppers on them, lol. Z is not an axis that I need super fast, so the lower speed isn’t an issue, and the holding ability is nice.

Currently using MDF XZ plates, which are working remarkably well.

Waiting on Printable so I can vote, as well as BOM. I really need to look at all the stuff I have laying around before I look at buying an upgrade kit.
