Status on Lowrider 4

I’ll include a bunch of different extra features, like a VFD, different relays for vacuum, compressed air, feed hold button, enclosure lights and so on, so is more convenient to have all in an external box, away from the dust and with a proper ventilation.

Good to hear. I just grabbed one used for $75 and looking forward to the LR4 launch

I just saw the latest video @DougJoseph posted for the V4 Beta and had no idea it was even in development! I printed all the parts for V3 in a frenzy at work a few months ago since I don’t have a 3d printer and was about to lose access to what I had. I printed extra parts too, including Doug’s Jackpot case, dust shoe, and the Peter H’s fenders, bought the Kobalt router (apparently that was a good call since it’s hard to find, if not discontinued now), and just never made the plunge on the LRv3 hardware kit. Is it going to ever come back in stock? I’m not sure I’ll have access to a 3d printer (or my wife will go for the added cost of filament) for the v4 when it finally launches.

Depending on your location I am sure several of us will have some of the hard parts from old LR3’s available soon. I know I will have a set of aluminum XZ plates and Acrylic YZ plates available. Would love to see them live on for someone else.

Also, a lot of the hardware is nearly the same.

Sounds like I’ll be able to buy a v4 kit, do a comparison of the hardware lists, and then buy whatever’s different piecemeal. Then I’ll be able to build the v3.

Hopefully I’ll be able to use it to generate a bit of extra $$ and I’ll finally get a 3d printer so I can upgrade to the V4. Looks like the added rigidity of those thicker struts is allowing for much faster cuts, and may be worth it!

As @Jonathjon said, we here in the community will definitely be able to help you get a v3 built!

Would be willing to bet you’ll be able to score the few pieces of different hardware along with the XZ/YZ plates off someone

Yeah I have one more V3 to take apart, and should have a set of plates in the for sale section soon. I know there are a few others and when it gets released I suspect there will be a lot of them.

I seem to have the worst timing for making orders…

Procrastination has worked out for me. Bought a 3D printer a couple of months ago to upgrade to V3 from V2. Now eagerly waiting for V4.

And it’s really, really worth it!

Still new to the forums and all, do you have a link to the video?

We will be allowed to release the rest of our videos as soon as the LR4 comes out. We have some good ones coming!

It looks like you can order them on lowes’s website
Lowes K7Tr

You can find them cheaper on ebay, but who knows if the warranty will transfer. It’s probably not worth saving $20 to find out

Shows for as “Out of Stock” when I click that.

Perhaps its a location thing ? It says they’re available for me and I’m on the west coast. Shipping is kind of expensive though

I’m in Seattle and I show none near me and none available for shipping

It was a better deal at a better price. I would get the Makita.
