Status on Lowrider 4

It’s all good
Along those lines, it couldn’t hurt to put something on the docs page about the upcoming v4

Good timing…finally done with that ZEN table. LR4 will be next.

Thank you Ryan!

“Why build one when you can build two for four times the price?“

I prefer the Pizza hut version from that add long ago…

Regular price, four bucks, four bucks, four bucks.

oh man, just as i get ready to upgrade my lr2 to lr3 (bought the kit ages ago) i find out there’s a new version. my fault for pre-buying.

will LR4 have the same height limitations?

finalized dimensions/limits are not publicly released yet.

Release is getting “close”, though, so details should be coming “soon”

Yep.

Possibly a bit more Z travel than stock LR3. Otherwise similar footprint with similar usable cutting area. Most users should see slight improvement or at least no major reductions.

Upgrade from LR3 to LR4 can reuse most of the screws/hardware, so the upgrade kits won’t be too terribly big. All printed parts change and are new/improved.

LR3 remains a great machine, so there’s no urgency to upgrade- but I suspect most users will take a chance to upgrade. It is a good step forward in refinement and capability.

Any chance you are going to sell a v2 to v4 kit or just the 3 to 4?

I saw this discussed somewhere in this forum. I think there is not much similarity in parts between the lr2 and the lr3. But the lr3 and lr4 will use nearly the same components. So an upgrade kit from the lr3 is a lot easier then from the lr2. But I might be mistaking, never owned a lr2.

I do plan on some LR2 to LR4 upgrade kits but they will be a couple weeks out from launch day. I should have 3 to 4 kits on launch day.

Hmm any thoughts to when this launch day you speak of is

I think there’s quite a few of us checking daily . I have a few things in my cart just waiting to pull the trigger

It’s getting closer. I have a sense that it’ll happen soon enough.

Small details getting sorted out but I think Ryan is really getting ramped up for launch.

Confirming suppliers and upgrading his production capabilities for the premium parts, double checking last controller software details, continuing test prints- stuff like that.

Probably working documentation and sorting out what upgrade kits look like for final parts BOMs.

As far as I know, all of the significant machine design is at or near release ready.

GM All!

I’m also one of those daily checkers…Have my FluidNC Pendant built and Jackpot board waiting on my desk, X1C sitting idle awaiting files to print…beyond excited!

Yes, it is getting close now. I have to work on the instructions soon. One more item for inventory I finally got tracking info for it.
