The example here is a bit dated with the advances in computer vision / ai the last few years…but…I run into this almost daily:
Doing web development I deal with it daily - even my boss who’s also been doing this for 25+ years with me often gets tripped up by where that line is between “Easy, give me an hour or two” and “Give me a research team and a few years.” But I guess he’s still more business/design oriented than code despite putting up with me for so long 
And it’s definitely not just computers. After I made the murder cat for my GF yesterday her immediate response was “I want a bigger one for the bushes so it can kind of be sneaking out…with glowing eyes and a subtle backlight glow”
She was a little surprised to hear that going from a 12" tall version to a 36" tall version, making it able to survive outdoor conditions, and giving it some solar LED’s is going to take more than a few minutes longer than the first one took me
