The death racers always seemed more interesting and fun to me than the dragsters. The dragsters are like launching a rocket. All that prep and then 10s of excitement. Still very cool though.
I like this one. I hear your voice saying it. Maybe some iteration on that.
Maybe, “We make machines that make things, and help others do the same”.
They sound like fun to use before, during and after RMRRF. Not looking to make one, but did look into it…

Anyone found Death Racer rules? Was trying to understand weight/power limits, whether CNC’d parts are permitted? Especially since the BTT kit comes with carbon fiber weapon shaft… So, asked on Discord
Edit: Rules say FDM parts, but, wording leaves wiggle room for non structural CNC’d parts… Recommends sharing proposed deviant designs with judges before building… https://discord.com/channels/1131507112674066473/1135460203458990180/1391113644602953800
I love it. This will go on a few things, I am sure. The only reason I used “things” instead of “machines” was to include the jackpot line.
I have been thinking a lot about this. We have the LR, ZenXY, Jackpot, a hell of a community…and if you want to stretch it parts and supplies. How do we summarize this. If someone is walking buy and glance up at our backdrop/banner, what are we? Do we do bullet points, CNC router, Sand table, Motion Controller, Community.
Deliberately throwing this in the “wrong tread”…
Does anyone know of a place local to the Colorado front range where I can find 30mm tubing to use for a LR4 beam build? (It’ll end up going with me to SMRRF, but I’m thinking of pre-building some subassembly parts).
I think community should be first in this line up. Everything about V1 is awesome, but this community is by far the best of it all.
You might do better to start a new thread to get more eyes on it.
Coupon is tough, I have never ran a discount and technically the machines just increased their cost and I did not adjust the pricing. I guess another way to say that is I think the pricing is good, will a discount snag the right people that are going to buy it and build it??
We could do a raffle but how important is a jackpot to most of the printer crowd?
what do we call it? Friendly forums, maker central is taken, community feels a bit over used in this space, supportive forums, creative forums, encouraging user base,
AI - Where friendly experts and curious beginners build, learn, and create—together. or, Come for the CNC and electronics, stay for the friendly, brilliant community.
If you can’t find something locally I will send you some from an online supplier.
DIY is pretty important I think, that sometimes be substituted for Maker.
DIY CNC and the community to make it fun. Maybe I can prompt AI or use a thesaurus all day and see if I can force myself into a few highlights.
If I bring an Arcade setup we can raffle that on Sunday. I thought that might be good to bring because it is interactive and CNC made.
I love this idea!
Always good advice!
A couple backdrop ideas. These are ~8’x10’x1’ so we need two. They fold 90 degrees at the blue lines. like this
These match the table cloths that we already have.
Too matchy matchy? Obviously there is room for anything, but with people standing in front of them nothing low will get seen nearly as much as the stuff up higher.
Any other ideas?

I like the one with the machine, but I feel like nothing is going to make you redesign it faster. haha
Be prepared to buy another one ![]()
Yeah, one of each, I would not commit to two with the LR4 on them. Might add the jackpot to the other one though.
Almost done here. they work 80% of the time when printed. Turns out if you go from https://www.v1e.com/ to www.v1e.com the QR code gets much lower resolution and still links to a web page. These should work 100% of the time. Another batch is test printing now.
Should be able to just do v1e.com right? that will be even shorter
It does not make a more simple QR without the www., but it functions different on my phone. Without it asks what to do with the info if you click it, with the www. it goes to the site in one click.
Oh weird, on iPhone it just shows the button to open in browser
Seems that it would be easier to just put “v1e.com” as text instead of a QR code. And given how short the domain is, I’m not a qr code is any easier to use.
