Well everyone, you are cordially invited to come hang out with us/me. I got another platinum sponsor spot so we have room. Come by and say “hi”, or let me know if you wanna hang out and answer some visitors questions for a while. The more people we have hanging out the more often we can go wander and check out other things!
I would love to see more user projects to show off, V1 Builds, interactive ideas!
Details to follow, I will update this first post with details as they get hashed out.
We’re getting within sight of this years RMRRF! Who’s going? What are you bringing or sending?
I’m still planning to go, and there’s still a coin toss chance that business travel will have me out of town.
If I go, I can again help bring stuff, run stuff around, and I’m hoping to bring an MPR&P V2 to show.
I’ll also comment over in the SMRRF thread as I’m still juggling schedule and may or may not be able to go there (again, business travel potential conflict.)
That’s a goal for me- MPR&P V2 with a router mount, and maybe a few other tools on it.
I think I have a forum thread about how I’m trying to use a Ryobi portable workbench as a way to transport machines. I’ll either go make comments there or if I dont’ find the old topic I’ll add some here.
Bottom line is that it is workable, but…
After nearly a year with that portable table, I have to say it sucks as a dolly (Too friggin heavy and awkward) and isn’t really super great as a work table either.
I’m planning on it. I haven’t booked the hotel yet. But I’ll probably do the embassy suites. Looks like it’s under $350 for two nights, which still seems high for loveland, but much less than the insane prices last year.
I will have an updated sandify release and the same table. Bob has been crushing the PRs and I have been slow to review them. It’s going to be a-MAZE-ing .
A stretch goal would be some kind of user controller for it. I have been way too busy to really work on that though.
Yeah. The last two years I went to Loveland for RMRRF and to San Francisco for Open Sauce. Both years the Loveland hotel was more expensive. It makes no sense. Loveland is a pretty great place. But it is rural and far from the mountains or the city. It makes no sense.
This area near the highway is still technically loveland. But it is really a convention area and there is a hospital there. It’s also a wedding venue. I think that is what really drives up the price.
Last year, this was the same weekend as graduation and this hotel was charging more than double. We stayed at a different hotel. But it is really nice to just walk to the hotel.
