Prusa Core One

OK, I did it. We leave here in exactly one week. As long as the lead time is more than a week all will be well with the world!

Update:

Made it from Brussels to Brisbane with the help of disability assist for my beloved in those airports plus Dubai, arrived home 9:00 Thurs after the usual 40 hours or so - first Doctor’s appt 3:00pm, referred to specialist, CT scans 11:00 today, next round of surgery set for Tuesday, and the time clock starts again on mobility. Who’d want a broken foot?

Upgrade kit arrived this afternoon earlier than expected, and will sit by the front door for some time I imagine!

I hate it when the next $1000 update is teased before I have even opened the box on the last $1000 upgrade!

Yeeeees, baby, MMU 4 with Bondtech INDX (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCmGoP0uNlM), what we were expecting, and the filament holders are at the front beam behind the door, so easily accessible.

Who wants to buy an MMU3? :stuck_out_tongue:

I told you so.

Now as to timing. INDX is due for an official release in November.

My guess is that Prusa and Bondtech have been collaborating for a long time on this, and Jo P is hinting at that in his post, so maybe it will work from the start?

I did have the MMU before and the hat was 39€. I am not sure whether I am going to financially recover from it… :face_savoring_food:

Last time he said it was far out, didn’t sound like half a year… normally he says “soon” and means years…

It’s not coincidental I think - this week’s Chinese tool changers may well have once again forced them to release earlier than they’d prefer.

Do you have a link, I didn’t pay attention…

I refuse to answer questions from people who haven’t searched first!

Some people here aren’t retired and can’t dilly-dally on the internet all day… :face_with_symbols_on_mouth::sweat_smile:

Hey, I’m a full time carer! Jo is out of hospital today - after another couple of hours of untangling the inner workings of her foot - more titanium, wire and screws. She now has to lie with her foot elevated for two weeks except for - quote “toilet privileges”:open_mouth:

Surgeon asked if we knew she broke all five toes as well - we had no idea!! Could be 18 months till we are cleared to travel!:smiling_face_with_tear:

I’ve set her up in the living room so she can watch me on the CoreOne build!:rofl:

That might be the first real innovation of Bambu. Wow. Prusa really needs to hurry.

How close is it to the indx? (Asking for a mischievous friend).

Or maybe it’s the other way round, that idex vortek video is 5 months ago, Bambi’s ‘innovative’ version has just been announced.

That’s exactly what my friend was wondering!:rofl::rofl:

Okay, the general idea is the same but the details seem to differ greatly. And if you can develop something based on just a teaser video, I’d say go ahead.

That print at the end still had a purge tower in the back, right?

You still have to flush the newly heated nozzle to get the flow working well. I agree, this is the “first” thing they are going to do to try and fix it.
