You should be able to set the blade depth to the top of the slot so it doesn’t cut all the way through the block. The tabs will hold the parts in place and you can saw them apart by hand.
If you were making a bunch you could replace the stop block with a square dowel the width of your blade kerf and use that to index all of the cuts. Then separate all the parts by hand.
