Should be an adrenaline filled, excited science fair full of passionate people and mostly finished insane projects. I’m happy to be involved. Ryan will have to talk about what he’s bringing. I am trying to get a Sandsara table I have working and brought in safely from CO. Demos are always a little exciting and a little anxious.
Cool spacecraft; we talked about the deployable, extremely thermally stable boom wrapped around the orange drum. I did not get a picture of the deployed one but it pops open to a super fancy tube space. Kinda like a carbon fiber straw. Look at the cable “spring” mounts.
Our boot. Return of the cosmic ape. I brought the Sandsara table this year. It is pretty easy to demo. I am hoping both tables look cooler in the dark.
Someone also had a good idea of using pinball glass for the ZenXY glass. He suggested finding a local person with some or find a show/conference, because shipping is crazy.

There also versions with antireflection coatings. Much more expensive ($200), but that means many people have the cheaper glass used because they upgrade.
It would be a nice size for a coffee table build. Might be worth making a stanard sized table plans.
This graphite project (graphite.art) looks awesome. It exports svgs and the interraction it gave was amazing. It is sort of like illustrator, but works totally differently.
Sand tables still really attract a lot of great attention. I am having a great time. Going to recover and rest so I will be ready for another big day tomorrow. Hopefully I’m going to be there closer to 8am.
You know it was a good show when I was so excited and busy I failed to get many new pictures of anything.
I did get to see my Lady’s son have a Tazer knife fight with his friend!! And uh yeah, real tazers set a little lower, but when got hit they vocalized it, ahahaha. The line for that was pretty long but worth the wait.
