Mechanism and parts way are off, but, not bad imo given the starting point was Ryan’s unveil pic and v2 stl models.

Builds on @jamiek’s big_arm CAD twin and some other projects I’m working on.

Don’t rush him. In my experience, pressure is a good way to make it less fun.

I haven’t had the pleasure of building it (that’s where I really appreciate Ryan’s designs). But it has been cranking along silently and steadily.

When it does get released, it seems simpler. So it shouldn’t take you long ti make it work.

No pressure or anything, I do appreciate the enthusiasm. That really does fuel the passion for me.

Just to give more detail now that I know it works for longer than some short tests. I tried to make this easier to build, and easier to put in a table, and more importantly, easier to set the endstops. While the endstops and belt stuff is simple, I still do not think it is elegant. I am done with it, though, since the belts and endstops only get fiddled with once. This is what I could do with the time I am willing to spend on this. I am excited to start testing another hardware project so this needs to get wrapped up.

It does have a 20mm smaller footprint so I am going to make some v2 to v3 spacers for anyone updating a v2 table.

I don’t think this needs a “beta” round, but I guess I will find out when I release it if I caught all the little gothcha’s. I started getting parts for an initial round of kits so hopefully when the files are ready the parts will not be too far behind.

For those intending to build it is 6mm belts, 6 smooth idlers, 2 toothed, ~20- m3x20 screws, 6- M5x20 or 25mm screws, 2 of the smaller 50x50 vwheel blocks, and vwheel extrusion, same optical endstops as the previous zen.

Aza, what is this monstrosity you shared with mt on github?!

@vicious1, you sure you’re ok with this? I was thinking of adding wait list, and/or, link to your v1e shop kit when they’re available.

Can mouse/finger-pinch zoom in to drag the ball around.

Guessing Ryan will update docs when he’s ready to share final design.

Yeah, I will add a whole new section to the docs with links and all that pretty soon. Cleaning up here after the marathon dev cycle and open sauce. Then I can have a clean area to work and take pictures.
