Not another MP3DP V4

That’s quite the improvement there!

Slowing down the accelerations was probably 95% of it.

Hopefully when you can reduce that cable mass going to the tool head you will be able to bump them back up a good bit

Oh. And updated full frontal pic. I still need to remove the TFT3.5 off the front of the lid.

This week’s tasks, switch to CAN and get filament sensor installed/working.

That was too easy.

Filament sensor achievement unlocked. I did cheat and steal all the macros from my other printer.

Dang it. All the deliveries for the new toys for setting up the CAN are postponed until tomorrow. That means I can’t play with them until Thursday now :frowning:

That is extremely frustrating when that happens. Or Amazon doesn’t deliver till 9-10pm :man_facepalming: If its something I am in no hurry for it will be here next day, if I am waiting for it right now it will take the longest

More and more I find if I order on Amazon and pick something with a stated delivery date, they miss it badly. I’m a prime member, and this has to be deliberate. I continue to waffle about flushing the online bookseller as they are severely pissing me off.

Thankfully for me its a rare deal. I went through a long time a few years ago with them that it would happen quite often, but that was back when they were using USPS for most of their shipments, Now with us having a warehouse about 45 min away its been a lot better.

I have something like 6 large amazon warehouses within an hour of me. That may be part of the problem. I often place an order of 5 or 6 things- and get 5 or six different packages despite having preferences to consolodate.

They regularly describe next day delivery and it takes like 4-6.
Sometimes I get order notifications and then shipments stall for 2-3 days waiting to ship. But that is usually with “fulfilled by amazon” orders. I put that on the idiot sellers for advertizing capabilites they don’t have and on idiot amazon for not having adequate controls and penalties for poor performance.

Yes we get that too. Some of that is because of 2 amazon accounts, but thankfully I only have to pay for 1 prime membership that covers both.

Yes. If they’re coming from different warehouses, then they get boxed separately.

I usually don’t have any issues with Amazon. I just blamed this delivery being a day late due to them being backed up from everything being frozen for 5 days last week where I’m at.

The delivery that cracked me up the most was two weeks ago. We needed baby bok choy for a recipe we were doing on Tuesday. On Monday our normal groceries got delivered by our typical grocery store, but they were out of Bok Choy with no substitutes. I jumped on Amazon and they had baby Bok Choy for same day delivery with orders over $25. So I added another item I needed (replacement air filter) for $30 and clicked ‘buy’. I just knew someone was going to take a look at this order and cancel it as the air filter was being fulfilled by Amazon, but the bok choy was going to be fulfilled by Whole Foods. But, nope… sure enough, the baby bok choy showed up at 6pm on my doorstep. A single $3 worth of vegitables driven all the way to my house 7 hours after I placed the order. The air filter showed up around 8pm.

But if ya’ll don’t mind, I’d rather my build topic not get derailed too far with Amazon horror stories

Which is owned by… Amazon.

They can afford it. There’s a reason we call them “Whole paycheck”

And just when I thought I was through with this round of upgrades, I run into the BTT Eddy.

I have the eddy on my V5. Man does it speed up meshing.

Did you get the ‘coil’ version and plug it into the ebb36, or did you get one of the others and use it over CAN? If I get the DUO, then it seems like I can run it over CAN and ditch the Z probe.

I got the coil right when it came out. I wouldn’t get it again. I had to hack it to add the temp sensor part so I could use it for Z probe as well. I believe @vicious1 runs the USB version on his, but he doesn’t run canbus.

I’m going to get the DUO. That will let me run either CAN or USB. I’ll figure out which to use later.

Good deal. They didn’t have that option when I got mine. Glad they have it now!
