Well, I’d wait for others to comment on how to do it the normal way. I know you can connect them directly to the Jackpot and can control them on/off via gcode.
Then there’s me in crazy mode. I have LEDs on my LR3 with a Jackpot using a WLED controller with custom firmware that monitors the status and automatically sets a lighting preset based on it. It also overlays white LEDs over the current X position.
