My own take on the spirit of the MPCNC

Just the core got updated, drops in to place of the old one :+1:

I should probably update the makita/dewalt mounts with the new clamping setup too, instructions and BOM update first though.

Well damn, I almost talked myself out of the upgrade! Looks like I’ll have to go ahead now!

I love this design.

Hey! Is there an ETA on the updated parts being uploaded to Printables? I was about to start printing the old parts when I found this thread. Thanks, love the design!

Nothing firm yet, still chipping away at the instructions for the update

Can’t wait (but I will).

Still working through the manual, but here is the updated hardware and parts lists!

Why did you have to wait until after the long weekend to give me this Easter gift? I could have been working on it all weekend! (But in all seriousness - hell yeah. The manual looks very well put together).

I did however spend part of the long weekend fitting an E3D Volcano hot end to one of the printers in preparation

It better for the amount of time it takes

Just gonna drop this here…

Let me know if you spot any issues or think I missed something! Just need to finish up the updated Makita/Dewalt mounts, and the mirrored version of a couple parts then I will be uploading them separate from the main files for now.

But this is for a mpcnc?

Nope, update is for the machine I cooked up.

Awww yis. I’m on daddy day care duty today. But will get into it over the weekend.

Can you show it the complete one or still a work on progress?

Up towards the start of this thread is my complete machine and some more vids of it working

That machine is older than your kids (probably)… :stuck_out_tongue:

The new manual looks mint. The only thing that jumps out at me is you don’t have a step regarding belt installation in the X steppers. Whilst I think it is fairly apparent how they run - perhaps for new players it wouldn’t hurt to add a picture?

I am genuinely impressed by your forethought in adding the “Notes on Disassembly” as my first question was going to be “Can I replace the center gantry in situ?”.

Any word on when you might have the time to upload the new models? (I am just that keen to get printing :D).

I love Ryan’s machines but the Brutus is exceptional in its own right.
