My own take on the spirit of the MPCNC

The motorcycle project is one that has been on the backburner for some time (ever since the abrasive blasters disintegrated the compliance plate on the frame). Brutus 2.0 is looking epic. Very keen to see the performance gains.

Fingers crossed it puts the limiting factor down to the belts, worst case I just made it easier to assemble

Look, at least that will make building the second one easier!

My printer has been pre-heating for a while . Just waiting for you to release the file(s) and delta hardware list. All things come in good time.

Hi there, are these the files uploaded on Printables for metric version? Or are you still testing the new parts?
Cheers,

Currently none of the update parts I am working on have been uploaded. Once I print and test, then I will get some updated instructions, BOM, and files uploaded.

Thanks, will keep an eye on this project as it looks very interesting.

Question: Are there any files for a dust collection installation (standard spindle) available? I would highly appreciate to print such thing.

I have one that I did, not the biggest fan of it so I haven’t uploaded it. Mainly have been cutting aluminum myself with the Brutus so I havent prioritized updating it.

But uploading does not hurt … or a private way?

I’ll see about uploading it after I make a tweak to it to actually fit over the spindle nicely, has basically a zero clearance fit to it XD

Print started to lift so I stopped it, have it going on my enclosed printer now. Upshot is I got to see how stout it will be! Could beat the crap out of someone with the carriage

Some lumps of plastic cold off the printers since I barely have had time to even eat after work these past few days, still have some more to print (z axis update part and some reprints of cracked caps) but I can start putting some inserts in the carriage!

Oh boy. Looks like some long prints in my future :joy:

Your crystal ball would be correct on that

Remembered why I disliked captured nuts in smaller sizes while doing some test fitting, went to one of my first ideas where I use the printed part as the locking portion of the nut with a insert for the threads. Now to reprint it XD
