Changing to 10 and will try again

ok I swear I’m not this dumb. the only thing I changed on that was the 7 to 10. firmware built just like normal. copied it over to the sd card. Now the SKR wont flash. Usually when I flash it I get a message about data size but it flashes fine and I get the .cur now I don’t get that message and the file is still .bin I have tried formatting the SD card. Tried another card. IDK what I’m doing wrong now

This is so weird. Try unplugging the LCD and flash the SKR again.

Will do. If it makes a difference i dont have the gray cables on at all.

Still no flash…

When i go to settings and info on the screen it says SPIFlash is 97.68% used. is it possible there isnt enough room for it to be able to flash? If so how do i make room??

It should be overwriting it. That is odd because it does seem like an eeprom issue with your mesh not actually saving.

What happens when you tell it to restore to factory settings in the eeprom menu?

Could it be a bad board??? Not sure if you remember but this board came from my LR3. It had random endstop issues that would cause the Z2 to drop during homing. I replaced it with a brand new one on the LR3 and its had zero issues since. Im wondering if there isnt more screwy with this board.

Giving that a try now

Edit… “V86 Stored Settings Retrieved”

And thats why you will always be the best. I did go back and it was ordered with my LR3 kit on 11/10/22

Also resetting the EPROM didnt work. Still firmware.bin Guess im on hold until the shipment makes its way across the US lol.

You can try moving the power jumper and powering over USB instead of the power supply.

Still firmware.bin But i noticed something. When i go to settings/info it shows the firmware with time and date of when this last firmware was built… So did it flash and just not give me the .cur?? Before I tried to do a G34 to get it level before trying the mesh (Have done that every time) and it wouldn’t go. Just gave me an abort. Now its running. Going to give G29 a try after its done and see what happens. Cant be worse right??? LOL

Didn’t work. Failed probing the mesh. Restarted and tried running a G34 and that failed part way through. Turned it off and just wait for the new board lol. Not like I don’t have 10,000 other things to work on lol……

Finally getting the spoil board right on the LR3

Are those in mm? That is big. 3mm would be big. 13mm is a finger width. No way your beefy plate is that bad.

It may have some max limit it is willing to probe to, like 15mm. The second to last point was 13. The last point is over 15.

Are your steps per mm right for Z?

There is a G30 you can use to just measure the Z in one place.

You might try that at the location you think it should be probing and see what it comes back with.

That is why I was thinking a loose connection earlier.

The part that is throwing me off the most is the 3 point leveling works sooooo good. So loose connection and the edges are stretching the wire?

I havent changed those so they should still be whatever Ryan has them set at. and its Ryans steppers as well.

ok i tried this but im not familar enough to just know what needs to be in the different places…

G30 [C<bool>] [E<bool>] [X<pos>] [Y<pos>]

The C bool and E bool i have no clue. and G30 X290 Y290 just got me an ok and no movement.

we lost that yesterday. now it wont complete a 3 point level and wont get as far on a mesh.
