Lightburn does have a booth at RMRRF. Exciting! The president of Denhac also works there. I wonder which booth he will be boosting.

They gave us a demo at last MRRF, so I really hope they bring another demo. I want to see how far it has come.

Take some video for those less fortunate of us that can’t make it to see!

Wow, I stumbled across this forum looking to get my cnc up and running… I have a mpcnc I built in 2016. I haven’t touched it in a long time, I got 3 lasers running lightburn, so it’s not been used in awhile. I’m so excited to see millmage in the works. Hopefully it’s going to be able to be run on Mac like LB? I stopped using the cnc because I hated having to run parallels for vectric.

Apparently so! While we wait, Kiri-moto could fill the gap!

Does Kiri:moto 3d carve?

I saw the very early beta running at RMRRF earlier this year while at the V1 booth.
As a lightburn user, I’m pretty excited to see the MillMage release when it finally gets out of beta.

I think it’s technically called 2.5D although it does do 4th axis stuff too.

It doesn’t v-carve though so you have to work around fancy scripts

I’ve been trying to keep an eye on the Millmage progress and they are searching for additional beta testers with CNC experience.

You should be able to reply on this thread with details about your machine(s) and experience to see if you can join the beta test group.

Also, it sounds like they are targeting the end of the year for a public beta release.

Correction: correct request process is as follows. Make sure to include details about your machine(s) and experience.

Hey i just searched on lightburn forum! Tney are adding alot of test users!! Go to the end of tbis

I wanted to but not sure i have the time!

They want you to email them, but I was able to get in from the post @Bigchepin linked a few days ago. About 6hrs after I got in I got a reply to my email LOL…

Thanks for your interest in entering the MillMage beta program.

We’ve logged your request and will be contacting those selected for beta access in groups from Advanced to Intermediate to Beginner in stages as required. Access to this beta group is not guaranteed, and we will only contact the selected candidates.

We will not be contacting those whom are not selected for beta access.

If your initial email did not include the following, please reply with:

Your level of CNC experience (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)
Any additional CNC machines you own (Make/Model)
Your current software packages (beyond Estlcam?)

Thanks!

Cheers,

Colin

You got in the beta program then got the auto-reply? Or you got in to register and got the auto reply?

I got into the beta then got an auto reply.

I saw this post before he had lined it out. And was able to post on lightburn forum before Colin posted that it wasn’t the right way to do it. Because of my post I and a few others got added in. But that was after Colin’s post, so when I saw what he put I went ahead and sent another email (I had sent one when they very first were looking for beta testers). I got the reply to the email about 6 hrs after I got the notification from the forum (actually another member here messaged me asking if I saw that we got in) that I was added to the beta.

Give it a try @MakerJim. Oz may still be giving a thumbs up to get in. He’s looking for more people with CNC experience to beta test.

Thanks. I may think about it, but I have a pretty full plate at the moment and don’t think I’d be able to give tat beta the attention to detail that it deserves. Maybe when the public beta comes around.

I am a LightBurn customer, and do like the product. I’m looking forward to what MillMage will bring.
