Wow, those things glow!

Oh my, it’s so tall, would additional third top mount holes on the Core be helpful to better rigidly secure tall spindles like this?

Mine is pretty tall as well, not quite as much as Phillipp’s but close. I have not seen any need for an additional mount up top. You are holding it where the max force is being applied (in my mind anyways). Throwing a mount up top would move forces to the top of the core and most likely induce more flex, not take it out.

Nah, normally it’s just held by an aluminium bottom mount.

You know skimming through this, and seeing the changes. I wonder if it is good to move these out. Like the endstops, they are completely different now. you mentioned flipping them.

It is mentioned more than once, so I think it should be fine. And the endstops are the only major change, so the general build is still nearly the same. Also, there are the official instructions. @SupraGuy was still using the wheels on the LR3 and nobody was confused.

I needed to move the spoilboard since the LR4 offers more Y for the buck. Had to move the spoilboard a little to the front, still need more spoilboard. But I might just leave it open in the front to be able to park the CNC with a bit in it.

While being at it, I added some seals (I had taken out earlier, because they are not quite large enough. Maybe that will help the suction table.

I still have to find a good option to fasten that spoilboard. Maybe I’ll add a few drops of Titebond and just glue it on? At least a bit? Not sure about that yet, but might be the only good option.

The glow-in-the-dark filament looks really awesome. Which manufacturer is it from? Unfortunately, my Lowrider is in the basement, so I can’t use it there. But maybe I’ll think of another use for it.

Just need some UV LEDs to charge up the glowy before you use it.

Mine only gets light from the lamps as well. If you have it lying in the sun, it glows like a little atomic generator core.
It’s from Das Filament. It’s pretty good.

Oh, if you put one UV light on the YZ plate shining on the y clamps so as it went it charged them up you would get a “mouse trail” like effect when it moves.

@Tokoloshe this sounds like something you need to do!!! That would be AWESOME!

New strut plates, because a beautiful CNC needs a beautiful face.

I used the flip method again and took a short video to explain how it works. :tada:

Ohh, Ohh, when will you have the video up??? Using Estlcam??

wait, why you making soooo many?

In an hour or two, it will only be a short though. No time for a proper video.

Wife and kids are out of town and I had to do the cuts anyway.
