O.k., O.k., I must have missed the thread where you explain your controller! Is that a bart Controller, or what?? Did you make your own? Is that an Esp and an Arduino together? Alot to process there.
Or and nice enclosure!

No, I am using the OpenCNCShield 2, a German controller where you can swap the control module (or even have two installed you can switch with a button), for instance I could be running Estlcam as a controller (and I really, really like Estlcam as the controller. The only drawback is that you can only square three motors, the OCS2 works around it with an ESP32 that does the squaring) and Fluid side by side and switch on the fly. But I really like Estlcam. He now also has a smaller version that has the ESP32 included in the board itself and less in/outputs, but you don’t need all of them anyway, pretty dope.

Video of the whole aluminium cutting process and finding the right speed, pretty neat if you are into this kind of stuff (and lol, we all are or we wouldn’t be here
):

Do not add the video to any public playlists as per Ryan’s request!

~105mm clearance with flipped endstops. Pretty neat.

Build is done now, cables don’t look too nice but are out of the way:

Well, it’s raining a bit
Daughter and I just made it to the car before the water completely flooded the street
All in the time of a few minutes

That’s the first time I didn’t take the cargo bike in ages

Friend of mine turns 40, she is a Latin teacher, so what better way to make her a sign in Latin?

Didn’t have time for a cleanup yet.

Inspiration (not painted, it’s some Italian street sign (from Pompeii??)):

Gloooooooooooow. With the black logo. Boooo!

You can see “stutter” marks at the D and U in the corners. I am pretty sure it has to do with the direction the wood is cut (diagonally to the grain), but I can’t say for sure. Could go slower, was 2000mm/min V-carve. I am afraid to make Z go faster.

Carmen is looking and wants to know what it says LOL. She has to look over my shoulder since she still isn’t cool enough for the lounge

It says “Spielgasse 1” (a street’s name) in Latin. Had my dad, wo is a professor for ancient history, translate the German word for me. :stuck_out_tongue:

I didn’t paint anything, that’s the sign I ripped off.
