Better hang on to the limb above you…… it’s a little bit different.
there…fixed it
Thanks!!
It’s real close but not quite. If I remember right its .75mm larger.
Yes, @vicious1 one has a mount for it. And (secret secret), I have already used his new mount to create a Kobalt compatible version of my recent Floating-Z Dust Shoe design (and also made a DeWalt compatible iteration of it as well). However, Ryan asked that I wait until 11/1 to post it, so as to not run afoul of the NDA.
I was asked for the mounts I used for the Primo (they are a simple remix of the Makita mounts) so those might be “mine”.
LOL, nice edit.
I was given a nominal value of 65.75mm, so just a little different. The remixed mount I made for the Primo worked perfectly, so it is at least close enough.
Well, let’s see if I can wait that long. I can modify my Ryobi mounts but I need to tune-up my Primo after not using it over this past extra hot Texas summer. So I think I have time.
I’m also waiting for the LightCAM or whatever they’re going to call it Millmage to drop as well.
Too many NDAs floating around and not enough inside scoops.
Agreed, don’t know if I can take it sitting on the edge of my seat for 6 more days
I got that Access Denied error too, when I searched for “Kobalt Router” on the Lowes website. However, when I seached for “router”, and scrolled waaaay down, it showed up. Seems to be in stock at most S.F. Bay Area stores. Here’s what was showing in stock for pickup whan I looked:
Union City - 4
Sunnyvale - 4
E. San Jose - 4
S. San Jose - 4
Fremont - 4
San Bruno - 10
Unless the Bay Area availability is a nod to Ryan, I’d be surprised if there wasn’t stock elsewhere.

I think it is down to 4 now. But I am 10h in the future from this comment.
That is really tough for me. I like to interact with this community in the open. But this was a good opportunity and NDA is the price of getting in the door.
I think you’ll like the results though. The box is cool enough. But the router inside is … 4 more days.
If only you’d finished with “Available on promotion for a full rebate (free) when leaving a review…”
I’ll have to visit the local store this weekend to take a look.
I just checked (online) at my neighborhood lowes… and it shows available today for pickup. Since i will be going there anyway, figured I’ll grab one just for fun. Planning on building the LR anyway in the near future
My local Lowe’s showed it available last night, I picked it up this morning!
Now I need to disassemble the LR3 to get the Makita off.

Ryan has a new printable motor mount set for it. Its size is close to the Makita but slightly bigger. Ryan indicated the difference is enough to warrant printing the new mounts. The DeWalt is significantly bigger than both Makita and Kobalt.
Thanks, I’ll get that started on the printer.
Mike
kind of sad. I really like the Makita tool, one of mine will be a router table soon™.
The Kobalt is a nice bit of kit though. I like the soft start.
Except it’s not published!! @vicious1
(Please, he pleads in a meek voice)
I can put it up shortly. I have a new machine test running right now (screw counting and packing!!!).
I did not expect any being able to be purchased so quickly.
