Jackpot3

you are going to quickly realize im a Nube just for the fact i jumped in on this thread because I cant figure out where to go for my question…

so im new to 3d printing and CNC. It looks like in the Lowrider4 assembly instructions, that the first layer of the YZ plate has been removed from the part. It appeared that mine would come off easily, however, only a little did and now its not so easy.. Am i right or wrong? is that first layer suppoesed to be romoved?

This topic is focused on the development of the new control board.

To get a more focused answer, I would recommend creating your own topic under the Lowrider category (either Advice or Troubleshooting). That way if there are follow up questions they will be contained in one thread rather than mixed in this one.

You should post your question here: LowRider CNC - V1 Engineering Forum.

When you get the new topic started, we’ll jump in to help you.

We love noobies. Welcome to the V1 community.

The strikes are slowing this again and DHL is not running either. Last I checked all shipment brokers encourage UPS for Canadian deliveries.

That should be my HS code but I will not promise no fees or tariffs.

It’s more about labelling the Country of Origin correctly as China and not (in violation of the law) labelling it as US. Trade relations (and non-tariffs) with China are more stable than the North American trade-shit-show.

What can I do to help with the j3?

Buy it. Development is finished. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

UPS considers all US outbound shipments, at least in my software, as US only. Even if I have China listed.

It is already available for sale, now we just need it torture tested. We consider the main development done, this thread is only still open because the first few are getting onto the hands of the public this week.

Is there any advantage over the JP2? I already have the JP2, but I am always willing to upgrade if there is a reason to do it.

I hope to put up the full specs page and comparisons later today.

The main difference is the jp3 has PWM on the 5v outputs, and one additional output. If you are not using a laser, or need another output, no use in buying another board, not a big deal.

Is there a link to order direct from China - I think it it will be my best option at this moment . Thanks

Only for the JP1 at the moment afaik. The JP3 is sparkling new and I don’t think Elecrow has the specs yet, Ryan said so a bit further above.

Can jackpot 3 do tool change commands - I know it may sound stupid but I never was able to do it with my SKR 1.2 board. Thanks

It can execute whatever commands FluidNC supports, including tool change commands, and perhaps whatever grblHAL supports.

The skr uses nearly the same code to do manual tool changes. The milling basics page has it all laid out.
