Window 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft as of January 15th. Maybe has something to do with it.

I highly doubt it. I haven’t seriously messed with a chromebook, but I know it is hard to install Linux apps on them, right?

Nope. Microsoft isn’t going to just kill it. They will however popup full screen nag windows to tell you to upgrade.

To be safe yes install arduino IDE and it’s drivers.

You do not need to install the firmware on the board.

Just install Arduino (for its drivers) you do not need to use it. Then install repetitive host, then try to connect.

No movement at all

I have try all those steps. Rep doesn’t nothing. In port it only come up com 3. Can not move in no direction. I am really lost. Going to go on day 3 can’t get it to respond to no movement.

Since you already had repetier installed did you check the settings, baud rate?

Set all setting to start up setting. Baud at 250000.

Verified you have the correct com port?

Doesn’t matter what USB you plug into it come up com port 3

Can you double check to make sure your fuses are still okay.

Does windows make a sound when you plug it in?

Check all fuse they are good. Yellow flash when connect on board
