I ran out of glue. Hope to finish it up to tomorrow.
So far pretty good. Similar to cheap plywood.
Almost done, drawers and shelves left. For the shelves, I got 1/4" hangers, so I did not have to do tool changes. Amazon.com
I think I am going to move the CNC over for those, though. We’ll see, maybe I should let the glue dry overnight.
So far the build feels super rigid. I am beyond happy with it so far. I can put all my weight on the far corner and it does not tip or flex.
Assembly was simple. Glue and brads
I added the bottom runners first.
Then with it upside down I added all the parts to the middle.
Then the bottom on to the middle Assembly.
Add the back piece.
Flip it over and I sanded a small chamfer all the top tabs to make sure the top went on easy.
Add the top.
Flip again and add the wheel plates and wheels.
Flip again, add the drawer sliders. At this point it is time to build the drawers, add the shelves, touch up paint.
im looking at theses wheels for my table , handy if floor not perfect
Shows as discontinued, screenshot it?
These are the ones I put on my heavy bench.

They are awesome for letting you roll when you need, then becoming stationary and stable when you don’t
I see alot of people make wood combs for those to raise them with.
I have these same ones.. the work great
yip they the ones
I have some of those and they’re great. I saw this video recently on how to make them adjustable from the top of the bench which I think is very clever.
Okay, I love it.
I was literally just swung it around superfast and the wheel caught on the crack in the floor and it cracked the glue. I need to flip it over and take a look. DAng it.
So maybe the fancy wheels you guys just linked since they are more center loaded. My plan was these, Amazon.com, but if those wheels have that built in, and are center loaded.
That thing looks sick! This would help me reclaim space in my shop for sure!
Im guessing the top is a full piece of plywood so I am assuming you are adding “wings” of some sort for the y rail and everything to sit on? Or am I missing something?
Ahhhhhhh that makes a ton of sense. I missed that part. Thanks!
I can’t wait to look at that wheel. I had that thing up on two wheels and rolling it around so it can’t be a load thing. I must have just hit it way too hard on that crack. Lots of orders to get out today and I am getting a late start since I wanted to put the shelves in and get that “done”
Okay it looks like not enough glue or a funky piece of OSB. I scraped it clean more glue, brads, and to be safe I added a screw to each pad. No more spinning the table around at full velocity. Seems like a fluke. ![]()
Are those HF casters ? I probably have a bin full of them.
Heck yes! Nothing but the cheapest for me.
CAD - Onshape
I am going to update the first post to have the relevant info if someone wants to follow down this path.
How stable is it? Would it be okay for woodworking?
Welcome to the crew Freddy.
That is kind of a tough question. I will say, yes, absolutely. It was designed to have a different top put on it though. So if you want it only as a workbench, maybe just take a look at the CAD and design it to your needs.
I will get a shot fully assembled today or tomorrow. It might clarify why it is shaped the way it is.
