This should be made more prevalent in the documentation.
it’s not obvious to folks that an ESD ground for the dust collection needs to be run back to ac ground and not go anywhere near the jackpot DC power connection.
in fact, I bet it seems like a logical place if folks aren’t told why to avoid it.
I really have put this CNC to work too. Several intense jobs flattening big slabs and it held up well despite all that discharge going through the board. I will message you on the side!
I will add it, and link something like this, Amazon.com, to make it even more clear. This could have been a huge bummer.
It is not too bad with about 400C on the heat gun, pull off the plastic esp32 strip nearest the component, heat the component for about 15-20 seconds with a small air tip, pull it off with tweezers. I can usually replace them without adding more solder. put them on, heat until you see the part settle 15 seconds or so, and it should be good.
