I just finished assembling my lowrider4 with a jackpot 3 controller. All the axis are working in the right direction, all the end stops are working. However when I attempt to home the lowrider the x axis responds stops when the end stop is triggered but the y and z axis do not stop when the end stops are triggered. I have manually checked the endstops and double checked the wiring on the y and z axis and it all appears to be correct. Suggestions on how to correct this problem?
Are you sure that each endstop corresponds to the correct motor? When hoping Y and one endstop hits does the opposite motor stop?
In the terminal run $limits and manually trigger each endstop and make sure that your Y0 shows up as y and your Y1 shows up as Y also Z0 = z and Z1 = Z
We can help you out here Bertram, I moved you to a topic of your own, but next time it is always best to start a new forum topic of your own. It makes it far easier for us to keep each others details separate.
Thanks,
I am sure they correspiond to the proper motor. I ran $limits in the terminal and manually triggered the end stops and got nothing however I did get an error message prior to runing $limits Msg err: sdmmc_card_init failed code 0x108. I don’t know where to find the error codes or how to correct them.
Do you have a SD card inserted in the Jackpot?
Are your endstops wired correctly? they should be wired NC. Usually the 2 outside terminals on the endstop switch.
I do not have an sd card inserted
I believe you will get that error because of that. That should have no bearing on your endstops working or not either way.
What is NC?
Normally Closed
The switches came pre wired in the kit. I checked the switches with an ohm meter and they are open citcuits and go to short curcits when triggered. infinite resistance to zero resistance when triggered
You got your kit from V1?
yes lowrider 4
Can you post a pic of your board wired up please?
not sure how to post pictures, I am new at this forum stuff
No worries!
If you have the pic on your computer you can just drag and drop it over the text box where you are replying. If you are doing it from your phone then you can click the up arrow shown in this screen shot and choose your pic and hit upload. Wait until the upload completely finishes before you post your reply.

Here you go…
Your endstops appear to be wired correctly. Its very odd to me that you showed them open without triggering them, and then closed when you triggered. That is opposite of what you should have seen with your meter. Also if that was the case then you shouldn’t be able to home at all, it should stop as soon as you try.
Let me back up and clarify something else. You are trying to HOME when you are seeing it not stop correct? The endstops do not do anything if you are just jogging. They are only active during homing.
Are the wires connected to NC and Common terminals of the switches, or NO and Common?
It sounds like they are wired NO
He said he bought a kit from V1. They all come wired to the switches already now
