Your layer thickness is too big.
It should be 0.2 there.
I was capped at 17mm3/s flow, and never hit it

0.3 brings it to 32mm3/s, max I got with that extruder was 24 and I think that might have been pushing it.
0.2 brings it to 22mm3, but I don;t think you can print that thin with the 0.6 nozzle
I print at 0.2mm layer height on my Ender 3 and it comes out fine with a 0.6 nozzle.
Even at my Ender speeds I was still seeing the wave. 40mm/s.
At 0.3 layer height it does look better, but you can still see that it’s there
I print at 0.16 layer height on my Ender as well with a 0.6
Well crud, I am so stumped. Maybe it is the crossover. Try pulling out the crossover ptfe tube maybe that is making it vibrate.
I just saw it on one of my prints but I don’t remember the orientation.
And just to be clear, 165 is the one feedrate that it didn’t show the wave.
It was the 110 mm/s that had the wave, and the 138. At 165 the wave wasn’t there anymore.
Could be because it was slightly under extruding at that point.
I’ve gotten 24 mm3/s no problem printing at 230, but it wasn’t that hot.
I don’t normally print at 165, I just hit the +50% speed button for the hell of it……just to see what would happen
You did the 100mm extrusion test to make sure your extruder steps/mm are right? I am grasping at straws…just double-checking because this really is not adding up.
If it was firmware related, is there anywhere we could test it? CAN step rate? You are at 16th microstepping for your extruder, interpolation on vs off.
I have not done the extrusion test yet since switching extruders, but I did it multiple times before.
It should be pretty close. It’s printing the same as before pretty much.
If anything I might be slightly under-extruding now since my other one I had to adjust away from factory settings a bit because it was over-extruding
He is using the H2 V2S Lite, little bit different than the V2S you were running, much higher flow rate with the volcano style nozzles.
Are you saying you cant print at a .2mm layer height with a .6mm nozzle? I have never found that to be a problem. I have printed as low at .15mm on a lithophane no problem. Not at all trying to argue with you, just making sure I understand you correctly
Last time I tried it looked horrible. I guess I should try again.
Really. That’s surprising. I can print all day long at .2mm on my V5. Just takes longer lol. Most stuff I print at .35mm but there are times when the lower layer height is still needed.
You know i heard about this great printer!!

Never heard a bad thing about it!! ( sorry i am sure you will not find the humor! )
Honestly I’m not upset about it at all. Sure some gridfinity might have some ripple to it but other than that I don’t usually see it in anything else I print. Or not lately at least lol.
That one was great, until the Carbon Fiber failed.
My parts are great, most parts come out flawless. Every once and a while I get a part with ripples. Obviously mine is not the same as anyone else’s printer. But since we have all at least seen them, I really want to narrow this down. We are using the same frame, same firmware, same steppers(?), different boards, different drivers, different extruders, different rails, different slicers.
And all of our builds are slightly different sizes as well
JJ and I’s build have a longer X span than yours I think. Maybe this is making the vibration worse?? It’s not much though. Just an extra 25mm
Mine has a slightly longer Y than his too
V2 was the bed slinger with 8mm rails. No CF. It was great. I learned a lot making it (and the v1).
What are the chances this is a power issue? could come and go at anytime?
Do you have a battery backup you could place in front of your printer?
A good one, like an APC
so I am googling this again, and I found this: "Correct" rotation_distance value results in "wavy" surface and the "wrong" one doesn't - General Discussion - Klipper
But I cannot get to it, neither on my phone or here at work.
Can anyone else?
just get blue dots
Same here. Looks like their server is down. I cant get to my post from yesterday either, same blue dots
I don’t see any mention of it on the Discord, but the site looks hung.
This forum is on 3.2.2 of Discourse.
They seem to be on a beta version
That link works for me, maybe it’s back up, let me know if not, I can copy the text if needed.
