One of the last things that I am doing before closing this thread and opening a new one for the completed Big Red Lowrider 3 is to cut out new aluminum struts.
I’m using a reclaimed sign that I got from the local Highways maintenance crew. The message seems appropriate…
I moved everything off the shelves and gave the garage a thorough cleaning for the first time in 15 years. Pest control people are coming later this week to spray the perimeter for ants and spiders. Then comes dusting everything off and putting it all back where it came from.
On the bright side, the aluminum struts have been cut. I need to do a final clean to remove the residual adhesive, then paint them. Final assembly is hopefully going to happen next weekend, and then I’ll post pictures of everything on a new thread later next week.
Table is cleared off and back in working order. Struts are cleaned up and polished, ready for painting (although they look so nice as bare metal, it seems a shame to cover them in paint).
Wow man. You did it. Thats awesome. I couldnt figure out the electrical gremlin that wouldnt let me home but I guess its in the rear view now. Lr4 is calling right? Congrats on finishing it man.
