Neat! Thank you @PKochZ71, I appreciate seeing your Vac setup. Like your idea of putting hose on the X Max/right side. Good points about X travel and preventing hose being hit. Will make my final Struts 1"-2" longer than the extra 2" they have to leave room for the Drag Vac Hose (DVH).
Will limit X travel using software and/or hardware (e.g. attach stop block to X rail(s)), so Core (and Router) cannot collide with DVH near X max.
Like the moving blanket clad enclosure, that’s more professional than the janky layered towel setup I was planning. So, thanks for sharing info about your multi purpose enclosure.
Your use of PVC pipe sections in the spoilboard is neat too, I have a bunch of Pex and PVC fittings/pipe that could be used like this. Great use of materials!
Just noticed your “PVC fence” and Vac setup post in LR3 to LR4 Upgrade! (Alabama, 2024) - #59 by PKochZ71
Cheers!
EDIT: Noticed some recent Vac related posts, sharing incase this helps… @PKochZ71 has given me hope about using the deadzone on the railside. Currently squishing a 2-1/2" Vac hose to fit…
Squished 2-1/2" fits under bottomed out LR4 on 3/4" raised Y. Would build torsion’sh box differently if was starting over, would create a deeper channel for regular 2-1/2" hose to fit. Hose is not stiff enough to self support, a legit drag chain or some kind of support/reinforcement would be needed for Longer bench.
