Oh and one more question regarding the “M0” pause.
As the code says “M0 Attach probe” i was expecting that to come up in the “pause screen” so you know why the machine is pausing. Is this the case? is my syntax wrong?
Or does it just come up and says “paused! press ok.”
It will show the text in Marlin mode, or in a terminal window, but in the TFT mode it only briefly flashes. One those things on my dream list of TFT fixes.
It was all going well no issues and then i got a bit lazy with the wires from the probe and they got caught and that caused the third part to fail and take out the second
It go to here and just stopped. The LCD is powered off but the motors are still active or were.
I rebooted it and the screen is still dead. So i am hoping its just a loose connection but it was late and its “a school night” so i had to give up for the night. I will give it a look over on Sunday probably.
You might want to go around and loosen everything up a quarter turn. That is a pretty solid part and doesn’t take much to keep the router in place. Nothing on here needs to be very tight. Don’t want any other broken parts.
If you can’t find anyone closer let me know. I’ll happily do it - just send me the STL so I don’t print the wrong one. I only have Galaxy Black PLA which has some little flecks through it if that’s ok?
Yeah I have those, but I think the nuts I put in the holes in the core to hold the top half must have fell out or I could have forgetting to put them in… (more likely) and they were a super pain to get in once the core is on, so i decided to do it when the thing gets pulled apart again to get the stiffener plates installed.
I then printed the remix that has the magnets to hold it (and the slot for the plastic skirt), So i should have that on two when the new ring for the router arrives.
Yeah,
I have done things up way to tight in the past. (like the the bottom bearing bolts on the core).
I also remember using the small cordless drill to do those up, thinking that its the router it has to be tight.
So yeah i might go around and losen up a few parts, or when everything gets pulled apart not do it up with the little cordless screwdriver thing.
Also I noticed that the top of the router has a little step on the silver shaft at the top, maybe the left over from when the silver shaft gets ground. Then instead of resting that on the top of the upper support for the router and doing it up, it looks like it has slipped down under the upper support and made it so the support is not being pulled up square.
So combine that and the fact i used a power driver to do up the bolts as sent it way out of what it was designed to do.
Either way I am heading to the toy shed tonight and i am going to cut the last remaining braces for the gantry and then i can pull apart everything and fix my mistakes…
But this is how we learn and have fun… RIGHT? lol
They’re “in the mail” as they say, although I’m sorry I didn’t have any glow in the dark Unicorn filament.
The nice lady at Australia Post had no answer when I asked why I can get stuff from anywhere in the world in less time than it takes to post things to you a few thousand k’s away. I suspect it’s because they want to upsell to “Express” postage.
“I’ll play your silly game” I said, so hopefully you’ll be back up and running and entertaining me with posts here again by the weekend.
you are a legend.
Also somewhat disappointed i didn’t get the Glow in the dark unicorn filament. That would have made for some excellent photos of the LR3. But i don’t think i could have taken a photo like you have of those units, that is a professional looking photo! (And that shot should be in Ryan’s catalogue)
