In this video I show the LASER components of, and explain the z-axis redesign I am doing on my MPCNC to account for the CO2 LASER Tube and mirror optics. Lots of work ahead, but I continue to be (foolishly? ) optimistic!
As always, any advice for this MPCNC newbie is welcome!
In today’s (not terribly exciting) episode of Life Skills I begin the disassembly and redesign of my MPCNC LASER cutter to accommodate the z-axis bed movement. I also begin moving the LASER cutter to a more suitable location.
I’m not an engineer, but that didn’t stop me from re-engineering the MPCNC z-axis to raise and lower the work-bed so that I can keep my CO2 laser optics all on one plane. I did this almost entirely with stock MPCNC parts so that if I’m successful it will be easier for others to replicate. This video shows the entire build process beyond the leg extensions and addition of leg trucks in the previous video above.
