I was calibrating my machine today. I created a spoilboard with t-nut inserts to use for clamps and a metal dowel guide fence along X-origin and Y-origin to use for a consistent origin point. I surfaced the spoilboard four times 0.25mm at a time with a surfacing bit and it appears to be flat.
I cut a piece vertically from Y-origin to Y-Max 115mm in width. Using calipers one end is about 115.15mm, the other end is 115.35mm. Not too bad. I decreased the X-Offset I was using by .20mm.
Then I cut a piece horizontally from X-orign to X-Max 120mm in width. Using calipers one end is about 118.57mm, the other end is 119.01mm. I will increase the Y-offset a hair but I am a little concerned that caliper readings point to the machine being not accurate enough.
Is there anyway with settings in FluidNC that I can compensate for the slightly larger width when the router is closer to X-Max versus X-origin?
Thank you,
Bob
