Just the boards I always carry. I believe them to be a great value.
I use the skr bundle from the v1 store. It came with 5 drivers (2209ās)
I use one of these. Makita - Product Details - RT0700C 6.35mm (1/4") Trimmer
There are modified base plates and vacuum attachments on thingiverse.
The Wikipedia article for Money for Nothing is a fun read if you like that sort of behind-the-scenes, inside baseball stuff.
Ohhhh the timingā¦
Oh⦠My. ⦠Godā¦
Looks like conduit linear rails? I was ahead of my time!
Magical ! This is awesome that Z donāt go under the table !!!
Great design !
I will not be able to get it soon but many thanks Ryan to have made that better than i ever dreamed of new big area CNC !!

Michael made it clear the LR3 is coming, the queue for parts might have just become longer!
that looks fantastic!
But not sure if I can use it
I have a 10" Z height on my current LR for cutting foam blocks.
Once the stl files are ready I may look into how to modify it.
I am thinking taller Z might be possible with just a different side plate shape, and longer screws. Whether itās advisable depends on the application, but Iām betting it would be relatively easy.
Only side plate, z linear rail and Z lead screw should be enough to modify
I wouldnāt have room for a table, but with some big weights to keep the Y axis and belts in place, I could lay it out temporarily in my driveway, and pack it up when itās not being used.
You had me at hello.
Does those big X axis wooden hardeners are mandatory on the first cutting hours of the LR3 ?
I know we could be easily relace it with plain and simple plywood board but is it possible to not have that hardener and cut it as a first project then mount them to enhance rigidity ?
EDIT: messed up in parent reply postā¦question was for Ryan
Ok. After studying the photo I see a lot of design flaws. Iām sorry Ryan. Your just gonna have to send it to me to work with. Donāt worry. Iāll make it all good.
Very nice job !
It is using linear so you would need those also
I increased the Z height on my build. Mine is only +50mm, but it can most definitely be done.
