What would you want to see in a new lowrider build?

Just the boards I always carry. I believe them to be a great value.

I use the skr bundle from the v1 store. It came with 5 drivers (2209’s)

I use one of these. Makita - Product Details - RT0700C 6.35mm (1/4") Trimmer

There are modified base plates and vacuum attachments on thingiverse.

The Wikipedia article for Money for Nothing is a fun read if you like that sort of behind-the-scenes, inside baseball stuff.

Michael made it clear the LR3 is coming, the queue for parts might have just become longer!

that looks fantastic!
But not sure if I can use it :frowning:
I have a 10" Z height on my current LR for cutting foam blocks.

Once the stl files are ready I may look into how to modify it.

I am thinking taller Z might be possible with just a different side plate shape, and longer screws. Whether it’s advisable depends on the application, but I’m betting it would be relatively easy.

Only side plate, z linear rail and Z lead screw should be enough to modify

I wouldn’t have room for a table, but with some big weights to keep the Y axis and belts in place, I could lay it out temporarily in my driveway, and pack it up when it’s not being used.

You had me at hello.

Does those big X axis wooden hardeners are mandatory on the first cutting hours of the LR3 ?
I know we could be easily relace it with plain and simple plywood board but is it possible to not have that hardener and cut it as a first project then mount them to enhance rigidity ?

EDIT: messed up in parent reply post…question was for Ryan

Ok. After studying the photo I see a lot of design flaws. I’m sorry Ryan. Your just gonna have to send it to me to work with. Don’t worry. I’ll make it all good.

Very nice job !

I increased the Z height on my build. Mine is only +50mm, but it can most definitely be done.
