I am trying to use VCarve with my new Primo with SKR Pro 1.2. are there any profiles available to use in VCarve? Also has anyone been able to use VCarve to actually control their MPCNC? there is one GCODE PP (BOBs CNC) that initiates the control panel but all I get is message saying it trying to locate the machine and if I disconnect the USB it says connection lost.
Vcarve is a CAD/CAM package mostly. You need a Gcode Sender to control the machine.
Use CNCjs, or Repetier Host. Save the gcode file, then load it in either of those, I have used both
when you go to save a gcode, it gives the option to save to file, and for some profiles it can send directly to cnc, not sure if the MPCNC is capable of this connection, if not, what is the best format to save to for other controllers?
For some you might be able to. For the MPCNC,as it is Marlin based probably not. If you haven’t gotten the VCarve post processor for Marlin, you need to get it and use it as the PostP for your gcode output.
