Has anyone tried using a ‘All-in’one’ pc with touch screen to control estlcam.
I am looking to move my MPCNC to my new wood working workshop in my back yard and have no wifi there so was thinking I would do the USB shuffle between my office and the CNC.
Has anyone tried to use the Estlcam controller on a touch screen PC? Thinking of changing to CNC shield GRBL v3 control board and connect by USB. Done really well on my laser so thought I would change from Marlin to GRBL for the router as well.
I can get a refurbished Dell AIO (All-In-One) i5’s with 23” Touch LED for not a lot of money. Also with my aging eyes, I find the idea of a large screen desirable then I can use even if I have forgotten my glasses.
Tried to Email Christian but guessing he has so may emails he doesnt get a chance to reply to them all.
Thanks For the reply Philipp. Are you using keyboard etc because the touch screen is not reliable enough or just your work flow and more setting things up before going to the controller? I am not so concerned with anything other than the control aspect. Would you say the touch screen is capable and reliable enough for that function?
Should be ok, it is grbl and that appears as an option in the estlcam set up and my laptop works ok with the board using lightburn. Its just the touch screen aspect.
At the moment I have it working with a Robin Nano 2.1 with a tiny touch screen but obviously not with estlcam.
