Trying to modify FluidNC WebUI

I would like to try some of the modified WebUI themes. I have uploaded the relevant files (for FuidDark them for example), however the instructions then say to select the Settings tab in the header, but I don’t have a settings tab. What am I doing wrong, or what have I not configured?

I’m not sure what reason I have to do this, but sometimes you get an idea and you just have to scratch the itch. If you have the V1 8MB ESP32, and you’ve installed FluidNC to take advantage of that space, you can have both WebUI v2 and WebUI v3 on the ESP32 at the same time. WebUI v3 Extension - Virtual Jog Joystick

This is still a work in progress but it at least seems feasible now. I always thought that UI jogging options were a bit clunky and wanted it to work like a joystick. Even when you connect a joystick of some kind, it seems to only work in X or Y at one time. I want to control direction and feedrate from a joystick. UI V3 Bluetooth Controller

This looks interesting. Is there a keyboard shortcut mapping for UI 3?

That gives me Setup, Preferences and Credits. None of them gives me the ESP3D settings menu to select the Theme

Themes are not for WebUI 2.

As of right now, WebUI-3 is still not the V1 recommended default option.

This may change soon after a little more testing. I’ve made some changes in the latest version, that coupled with the upcoming 3.9.2 FluidNC release, might make some things easier for new users to adopt, but we’ll need to see how it goes.

It is possible to use WebUI-3 today, as many of us are, it is just not as well tested as WebUI-2, and may still have some quirks/usability issues.

If you want to try it out, you need to:

1. make a backup of all of the current files you have on your ESP32 FLASH.
2. Remove all files except config.yaml
3. Download the correct WebUI-3 setup from Ryan’s github for your machine
4. Upload all of those files, except the config.yaml, to the ESP32 FLASH.
5. Restart the board

All of that should be able to be done through the File management portion of the FluidNC web installer.

Any issues, just remove all of the files, and replace them with your backup set to get back to where you were

Quick question: I recently purchased and received a Jackpot controller from V1E shop. It seems to be running FluidNC 3.9.1 with V2 WebGUI. Is this the proper release version that I should be starting with? The docs still state that only upto v3.7.17 is “tested and confirmed”.

If you just received it, then I would assume it’s fine. @vicious1 may just have not updated the docs yet

Yup, I think 3.9.1 is good to go. I just finished catching up on orders from the long weekend, and I will get some of the little details like that rev change ASAP.
