Tool Mount for Maktec M3700 (Makita MT372) needed

Hi everyone,
since DEWALT is very expencive in germany i decided to go for the Makita Consumer line M3700 handmill. Now i am looking for an Mountplate for
the MPCNC 525 “F” 25mm version. has anyone designed one for this tool?

Another question: Whats the better choice: Universal Mounting Plate or quick change plate?
Normally i will not change the tool so often, however imho it would be very nice to take the tool out to change the drill…?

yours
Markus

I’d go for the universal one. I had the quick change installed with the last version and it moved too much. Too much wiggle because it wasn’t stout enough.

ok. so i will go for the “regular” one. now i need the tool-mount for it… mill will be delivered in about 8 days, no way to measure and design one on my own for now…

Makita M3700 came yesterday. Diameter is 65mm outer Body and 85mm straight lenght for Mounts, so i can use 3 clambs to fix it to the mounting plate, should work pretty well. But this tool is 35000 rpm so i will try to lower the Speed with an electronic dimmer, hope that the torque will be still high for proper milling… btw. this tool is for 6mm drillbits. Now waiting for my stainless steel tubes…

Now i cn confirm tht the existing makita 0700 mount also fits for the small 3700. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1652878 so imho this is the europes alternative for the expensive dewalt 660 (180€), at least in germany.

Is there a universal one for the new center? The one I am finding looks like it’s on the old one.

Hello,

I am going to buy the Makita 3700. I have a Dremel 3000 but i think it will be very weak.
What is your opinion ?
Have you tested the Makita 3700 in real life ?

thanks a lot
George

Any luck with M3700 ? I’m considering it for my MPCNC

I finnaly went for a Kress FME-1 1050W router. It is perfect !!!

Those seem like such nice spindles, I wish we had some sort of equivalent over her but there is nothing like it.

With a combination of a good carbide end mill it can cut aluminium and acrylic like butter…
