Sweeeeeet! Been refreshing all day for this ahaha!
Thanks, but really the Beta team kept me moving. Without them I would still be dreaming about dust shoes.
It was definitely a team effort. But it all worked as well as it did because of you @vicious1!! I know I am extremely honored to just be a small part of it!
So I vote @Jonathjon beta team extraordinaire!!! The whole team was amazing but dang Jonathan was setting records! He had those changes knocked out sooo fast!!!
No sir. Every single one of us was just as important as the next! Doesn’t matter who built faster. The rest of you found way more problems and had way better solutions than I ever did. All I did was print and wrench faster
JJ at one point had built a particular beta release before even Ryan had!
Like factory level production speed.
I do have to say thank you for letting us even just armchair @vicious1 . this process was amazing! I wish i could have been more able to help! This has been amazing!
That was luck of timing on me being on my days off, and I wasnt also trying to run a business and source all the parts that everyone just bought up 3 fast printers didnt hurt the situation either
Anyone wanna buy instead of build??
I am looking at building a full size build but before I start printing parts i had a question about CaliLantern. From the description it didnt seem like Prusa printers really needed it. I have a mk4s and just wanted to see if anyone else can weigh in if i should still buy the file?
In my opinion, for $13 its worth it for piece of mind. And you will own it forever. So if you get another printer at some point you can run it again, If he makes any updates you get an email with a new download link. For me its been an extremely valuable tool!
But take what I say with a grain of salt, as I have never used a prusa printer before
Thanks. I will just buy it and see how my printer does. I plan on building a large core xy at some point so it wont be bad to have.
Or i guess i could see if i can print the parts out on my printer at work. It would be expensive but the parts would look pretty sweet.
WOW. That is quite impressive!!!
Yeah, that would work LOL.
For what it’s worth, I think every printer owner could stand to have a set of calibration prints and routines. You don’t always know what bumps and lumps happend in shipping or whether you built it quite perfect as a kit.
That said, Prusa printers have a well deserved reputation for being quite good and just working.
You might start out by printing the Z stub parts and then test fit them together. If the nut trap and the Z Stub fit beautifully, then you’re likely to get good results with your Prusa. If not, then you should indeed go through a full calibration.
This!!
Yeah i built it as a kit so there is every chance I did not do it perfectly. If nothing else it may be helpful if I buy it and post my relsults for anyone else that has a prusa. I know it does its own calibration but a second verification wouldnt hurt.
I thought about printing some smaller parts first, but I figured screw it; new roll of filament I’m just going to send it on the core. I was download #15
Its an awesome printer. We just ordered a EOS metal printer as well so I am excited to get to start using it.
There you go. Print all your parts out of metal!
