Spindle for a large build?

I want to minimize weight for a large build, but I need to make sure I can cut sufficiently… I was thinking about this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0154LENB6/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1477961074&sr=8-2&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=300w+spindle&dpPl=1&dpID=51JASWVH2RL&ref=plSrch

Any thoughts?

Nevermind… Looks like its still heavier than the DeWalt. Still thinking about it though, mainly because the DeWalt + speed regulator comes to about $90, so maybe its worth an extra $50 for a purpose-built spindle?

I’m going to try one of these.

Gave it to my wife for a christmas present idea.

Is there a distinct advantage of brushless spindles? I’m seeing a lot of 400W brush less spindles at around the $200 mark with the corresponding power supply and driver. They’re listed as around 2 lbs, which is the lightest I’ve seen so far.
