SOLVED Help - KOBALT router mount issues

SOLVED

I’m building an MPCNC Primo with a Kobalt router and am at the point where you attach the tool mount to the Z axis with 4 ea. M5 screws and nuts mounted in the nut trap.

Issue:
As I tried to screw in each screw a little at a time, I ended up bottoming out the screw into the conduit (23.5mm OD). I ended up where I can’t screw them in any more, but the sides of the mount ARE NOT making contact with the conduit, basically allowing the tool mount to move around with very little force applied. I know the Kobalt mount was a later addition, but I don’t see how this works correctly.

Does anyone have any advice on how to mount this? I’m not sure if I should reduce the length of the M5 screws or not and will wait until a solution is provided.

Just shorten the screw. I also think that the bottom mount is the wrong way around, not sure though.

you are missing 2 pieces.
