A little backstory: One of the player characters in my DnD group likes to collect trophies from the monsters we slay. A few weeks back, we killed a zombie ankylosaurus. I thought it would be cool to make one of those trophy mounted heads for him, but I couldn’t find an ankylosaurus to send to the taxidermist. The next best thing: laser cut interlocking cardboard! Well, probably not the next best, but still cool.
I ran off to the thingiverse and snagged a model, threw away the body and made a plaque in Fusion 360.[attachment file=68716]
Then I snagged a free Fusion 360 add-on called Slicer.

Without too much fiddling, this gave me a Zip file of DXF files ready to cut. Except I didn’t want to have to convert them one at a time, so I wrote a program.
It’s still a very early stage project - in fact, it’s hard-coded to my path & file, and has hard-coded values for my setup, but if you’re interested, I might be persuaded to make it a little more generic so anyone can use it.
